Well then, I wonder what effect an awesome single could have on Live's ability to fill 5500 seats.

I highly doubt they could fill it regardless of how awesome the single was, or who was fronting the band. different times. Most venues like this are easily modified, in terms of seating, to accommodate various types of acts. It could be that they just open it up to the floor and close off balconies.

An awesome single or album would be a huge achievement for Live. They haven't had a truly successful single that appealed to their fanbase since TDTH. Sure Heaven was a hit, but it mainly spoke to middle aged women. It was too sappy but and a bad change in direction for the band as clearly evidenced by their failures in the last 5-7 years with Ed.

The guys as far as I know have a tour planned this spring/summer with shows starting overseas.

I think they are hoping that people don't realize that there is a new lead singer(only a small mention at the end of an 8 paragraph synopsis). The graphic has no picture of the band either.

Revel Casino (Post Show) - We switched the set up a bit tonight to try and spread our wings just a bit more. It's less about songs and more about just trying to find that groove that we grind too.

When we sink deep into those pockets, the pulse of CG and PD can really propel us to new moments of improvised bliss. Don't get me wrong, fans love to hear hit songs but a true LIVE experience has to have those moments too.

Shinn has a firm grasp of all the material and now we're looking for him to push us and himself to the next level. What's that level you say? That's the point; we won't know until we get there. One thing is for sure, the more our fans have embraced him, the more he gives back.

Only the dire hard "Freaks" get this. The casual fan just sings along to the hits and might not even get what we're looking for.

If you're on this Facebook Page - you're getting an insiders look at us going all-in on our journey to rebuild our musical spirit. I'm not holding back - okay, when have I ever done that?

There have already been some incredible spiritual awakenings but we've also hit a brink wall or two a. It's going to happen.

Revel Casino, Atlantic City, NJ - Howard Stern was talking with Chris Cornell (we always listen to Stern) about how terrible it is that real rock n roll has taken a backseat to dance music in our youth culture. At least Soundgarden, Foo Fighters and LIVE are still jamming.

I can tell at our own shows that music culture has changed somewhat while we were on hiatus. There are so many distractions in modern life and we've tried to pick-up and return our creative energy to where Secret Samadhi and Distance To Here left off. That's a long time ago for even our fans. The new songs, while sounding like LIVE, owe their heritage to bands that in some cases came after our formation. This version of our band won't play that sappy stuff.

I can feel the influence of Queens Of The Stone Age, NIN, RadioHead or even the great Soundgarden. In my opinion, our music started down the wrong path when the songs sounded like they were written to chase hits. The music just started to lose that raw, fuck-you passion that we had crafted so well (before anyone even cared about a record sale).

So LIVE have returned to make a whole record of raw spiritual rock n roll. No idea if our fans will even appreciate what we've gone for but it's got an edge to it. Live or die by our sword; this is not an easy pathway by any means.
