I guess Chad is saying the working title was spew while they were recording, before they decided to name it Hold me up. I remember when I first came across the song, it was being called hold me up, lift me up, and spew.

Interesting titbit from CT - I always assumed 'Spew' was a fan-named title...

Thanks so much to those who have come forward with missing FLAC rips in this thread - the only missing ones now are the mastered versions of Deeper and Sparkle (Alt version), and the Songs From Black Mountain rough mixes which I forgot to mention in the original post.

A huge thanks also to Berlinone who has been a massive help in proofing the notes for the artwork thumbsup.gif

This entire project should be ready to download by New Years Eve, so watch this space.

As a taster and Christmas prezzie to you all - please help yourself to the demo tape bonus tracks, recently remastered by JWB.

This is the best sound quality these songs have ever been available in. You'll probably notice the biggest improvement in Hold Me Up and Susquehanna, which have undergone significant tape hiss reduction, time correction and now have an increased dynamic range music.gif

Enjoy! rockin.gif

Tracks sound great!
BTW, the artwork that appears when these tracks are played is incorrect. Volume 4 artwork is displayed when it should be Volume 8.

Glad you guys like them cool.gif

The artwork is actually correct - I've divided it up into 5 double disc volumes, i.e.

Volume 1: Disc 1 and 2
Volume 2: Disc 3 and 4
etc

Ridley,

Thank you very much for doing this!

I've been lurking on the board for a while now and had to finally post to thank you.

I was curious if you have clean versions of Vine Street and Photograph as well. I have them stored on my unreleased file.

Steve

JWB had a go at remastering the recent pure sourced transfer but the sound quality was too poor to do much with. The previously circulating 160kbps mp3 version sounded much better and was therefore used for remastering.

"Dealing Dreams" was not included because the idea of the bonus was to only include the songs not available anywhere else except on the demo tapes ("We Deal In Dreams" as released on Awake is on Disc 1, and the radio edit is on Disc 9).

Btw, the whole project will be available to download in the next few hours thumbsup.gif
