For the past 18 months I have been gradually chipping away at this project to collect together every +Live+ track that has appeared on an officially released single, holiday gift, soundtrack, compilation or promo. I'm happy to say that I'm almost there - artwork is being finalised and this should be ready to share with the fan community before Christmas smile.gif

Through the generosity of many kind souls from this forum I have been able to collect together LOSSLESS versions of nearly all tracks - unfortunately the following tracks have only been found or known to exist as mp3s.

So before I finalise this collection, I'd like to ask everyone to take a few minutes to check through their own Live collections to see if I have the best quality sources for the following tracks. Please let me know if your mp3s are at a higher bitrate than any of these (or if by some miracle you can provide a FLAC rip of the original source!).

Mall Rat - 160kbps (Churchbox demo - FOL Gift 2009)
Photograph - 160kbps (Churchbox demo - FOL Gift 2009)

Deeper - 128kbps (clean version, not the TDTH 1998 demo tape FLAC)
Sparkle (alternate) - 128kbps (clean version, not the TDTH 1998 demo tape FLAC)

Where Fishes Go (Demo) - 128kbps (from Chad Taylor's Facebook bandpage)
Run To The Water (Alternative take) - 128kbps (from Chad Taylor's Facebook bandpage)

Forever May Not Be Long Enough (Rough Mix) - 224kbps
Overcome (Instrumental) - 160kbps
Like A Soldier (Chris Vrenna Remix) - 256kbps

Run Away (Acoustic Version) - 186kbps
Run Away (Acoustic With Shelby Lynne) - 128kbps

She (Extended Version) - 320kbps
Everytime I See Your Face (Extended) - 320kbps
Mystery (with Daughtry) - 192kbps

Smoke [Stuart Davis featuring Ed 2006] - 193kbps
Miracle [Stuart Davis featuring Ed 2008] - 245kbps

Ridley,

I will have a look for the "missing" files.
There must be something on my Harddisk or bootleg CD's that is better than this bitrate.
I will let you know.

Is this the American Idol performance?

It's a studio version - released for free download on the friendsoflive.com back in 2003 or 2004. I suspect the 192kbps is the original version and there won't be a better one in existence sad.gif

Thanks Berlinone - would really appreciate you looking into this thumbsup.gif
The ones I'm most confident of finding better copies of are Deeper and Sparkle, I'm sure I used to have 256kbps+ versions once upon a time...

It was shortly after SFBM came out. Live went on Idol hoping to promote the album, sang with Chris Daughtry. A few months passed (maybe less) and a studio version was available.

Still I wonder what was the reason of putting that online and shortly after it disapeared to never return again... Was it meant as a single instead of the regular Mystery-single?

Man that was awful. Definitely the low point of Live's career.

It was quite possibly the only way to make SFBM more embarrassing. Even though they played it off as Daughtry bringing in his favorite artist to play with them, it came off as such a desperate attempt to promote themselves to a new, younger, Idol watching audience.

I do not believe it worked.

Ridley,

Sorry to say: Checked all my Harddisks, did find most of the wanted files, but no better quality than you already have.
Some even worse (128 instead of 192).
Lots of success in finding .
