QUOTE(Hoodstock @ Oct 7 2013, 8:05 pm) *

If CCP had rejoined with Ed they would have been sellouts!

You keep pushing this idea of CCP cancelling on Ed. Ed has said many times that he wanted to go in a new direction, that he wanted to start a new chapter, that he is happy that he's doing his own thing.

For some reason you're not listening to Ed or CCP - you're not happy that they're all happy.

CCP doing a Throwing Copper Anniversary show and playing only material that Ed wrote makes them sellouts more than them doing a proper reunion tour.

Ed went to CCP asking for a reunion, they thought they would be just as successful on their own, and they found out they are not.

Are you saying Ed isn't happy?

Still sounds like everyone is but you.

PAT did not have notes in front of him you idiots!!!! uhoh.gif

seriously?? WTF is wrong with you people here???

this website needs to be hacked and destroyed, get rid of LIVEs name

rename it
3 IDIOT FANS who hate LIVE!!

I was the person who inferred that and i actually happen to LOVE LiVe.

I've been a fan for almost 20 years. I don't appreciate abuse or attitude from some guy who obviously has nothing at all constructive to say.

If you take the time to WATCH the top video and read my post i said pat D is looking at the floor more then once during the song - maybe he had notes too. But maybe he was looking at a set list - but if so why would he need to look so much? Maybe at notes...maybe he just likes the floor.

Who cares? I still think the band sounded good. Message boards are for discussion not abuse i am entitled to my opinion based on what I saw - u disagree thats fine. But dont bother abusing me.

just for information's sake:
I have Pat's setlist. (I got it signed, Pat signed his signature followed by "was here" which I thought was hysterical) There are no notes or anything on it other than 'G' and 'N' which I believe are references to different basses. So Pat wasn't reading anything. When I looked at him he actually often had his eyes closed. He was feeling the music and just grooving. I didn't see the stage next to his setlist (because there was a monitor in the way) but I do believe he was just jamming, and not reading anything.

Also, Pat is such a prankster. I love when I get to chat with him before or after shows. He's an awesome goof. great sense of humor.
Hope that helps clarify anything (or not).

Are you basing it off of that one article where Ed said he wanted to get Live back together? If so, I don't think that he was being serious. I think you know that.

In any case, I've figured it out. Best reunion solution is to have a hologram of 90's Ed playing with CCP.

They are taking the brand that they built over 20 years, and slowly killing it.

No even Chad Gracey recently stated that Ed wanted to get the band back together, but CCP wanted an apology and didn't get it.

In any case, you're saying CCP thought they would be just as successful on their own, and they found out they are not. I don't think you have their thought process right at all....the obvious reason would be that they're at odds with Ed. Also, it depends on how you define success. You've heard this a million times, that it's not always about the money. It's often personal.

I think they spent a lot of money to sell out HOB AC and prove to Ed they could be just as successful without him. They fell well short.

It really doesn't matter what some twat on a message board thinks of their concert. They are having fun. Clearly you are not so you can just move on.
