For sure I knew you would point it out. Why does it matter so much that they do it next week? It makes me happy it is almost now...really looking forward to this show. Will be worth the long drive.

I think it's a bad idea for both camps. Are they just doing it to piss each other off? And why a TC show? That's not their only worthy album.. are they doing TC just because it charted well? I know it propelled them to the forefront of the music world in the 90s, but throwing a big 20th anniversary show just seems kinda weird to me. Maybe these 20th anniversary shows are typical for bands??

At the bolded.. because it's BY FAR their biggest selling album. 8 million copies is nothing to sneeze at.

To do a show to celebrate it, yes, but to go on tour with that, I'm out. They could do the same with Secret Samadhi in 3 years no problem. But again, one show or 1 show per continent.

If Ed really did come up with the idea, then it further proves he's all about the money grab. His greed knows no boundaries and is fully illustrated by this poster and tour. Sad to see him shoving dirt onto his/Live's reputation over and over again.

Sinny, How does Ed steal his own idea? rolleyes.gif

We all know who thought of it first. lol.gif

He was the one that planned to do this regardless of where he would be in his career.

Sox, i don't think either is doing it too piss eachother off but it was def Eds idea long ago to do it and as nick said, The others did not want to. They are only doing one show for it, ed is doing several. There is no doubt in my mind who will do it better bremang.

There is no way chris has the passion or vocal do hit home with TC. just no way.
He will never even touch it. I mean c,mon...the guy doesn't even know the lyrics to most of it. facepalm.gif
It makes a lot more sense for Ed to do it because they are his songs.
The album means a lot more to him than it does ccp and shinn.

Well, umm yeah, they all need to put food on the table. Seems all of them are about making money these days. Go figure. It's thier job and livlihood. facepalm.gif Fucking bastards, how dare they care about making money?

QUOTE(Bremang @ Sep 25 2013, 6:35 pm) *

TC is also hugely about the lyrics and vocal melody. Chad's admitted to not even know the lyrics to the songs. So CCP will come through passionately, but its a limited scope of the music. Ed doesn't have the passion from TC or the vocals, Chris might have the vocals but none of the inspiration. This thing is broke and can't be put back together the way it was. We'll have variations of the original entity.

Ed DEF has the passion and alot more vocal to do tc than shinn anyday.

Not sure why you would say chris has vocals to do tc because i disagree 100 percent.
Dude doesn't even know lyrics to it.

If i had to choose which to attend...umm no hesitation here. happy.gif
I'm pretty certain people are going to respond and enjoy Eds version more.

That's just a hunch though.

It makes sense because the album was huge, it's 20 years, and people want to hear it. If a TC show hit my area I'd be there for sure!

Sad thing is this is the first time any of them went with the "full album" concept. Should have been playing albums cover to cover from time to time for years.
