Thanks, but this was already covered in another thread created by you and I think we all understood it the first time.

For those of you who Nick assumes are so retarded that they need another new album thread to comprehend the magnitude of this upcoming day here is all the information he posed over a week ago to get you up to speed!

Official announcement from V2 Records:
QUOTE
Vaak tegelijkertijd. Het is de dynamiek tussen deze twee tegengestelde emoties die de voornaamste inspiratiebron voor The Flood and the Mercy vormt en het overkoepelende thema is. ‘The Flood and the Mercy is really about the fact that life can go through these dramatic periods of movement, maybe even suffering, while simultaneously revealing great truths about yourself -- even strength that you never knew you possessed. I’ve never been one to write from overly specific times and places or experiences in my life. But on this record, it’s impossible not to hear that some of the more public struggles I’ve faced have made their way into the overall inspiration behind the themes and lyrics of some songs. It’s been a difficult past few years for me as well as a time of intense change and positivity. I think the record expresses both of these opposite dynamics that have been at play in my life.’

Op zeven van de elf nummers doet Peter Buck van R.E.M. mee en dat was voor Kowalczyk een droom die uitkwam: ‘It’s been no secret to my fans that I simply would not be doing this if it weren’t for R.E.M. and the incredible inspiration they were to me in the beginning of my musical career’. Naast Buck horen we op het album ook singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata. Over haar zegt Kowalczyk: ‘I was instantly entranced by her voice from the moment I heard it,’ zegt Ed, ‘our voices blend together in a way that is hard to describe; in fact, I think they are strangely similar, very Yin and Yang.’ Bekijk Seven, de eerste single van het album hier.

Rond release komt Ed Kowalczyk met zijn I Alone Acoustic tour voor maarliefst elf concerten naar Nederland.

It is a true rock single, something Ed hasn't released in quite some time. I think a lot of his new album is based off the pain from the break-up and lawsuit. A new producer and collaborating partners(such as Peter Buck) have also been good for Ed.

Def not SFBM 2 or Alive 2......I liked both albums, but this new single seems much more personal.

I do think the song's alright, but come on....do you know what rock is? This song is soft to contemporary.

Dangum - thanks for the conversion.

Not trying to bash, but I have to say I don't really like this track. It's not rock at all, more of a light pop type song. I hope it's not actually the first single and I hope the album has better material to offer.

Just putting together a quick list I'd say all of the songs listed below are better tracks:

The Great Beyond
Grace
Stand
Zion
A New World
Just In Time
Mind Games
Rise
The Garden
Solar Flare
I'm The Proof (Remix)
DWLF

So IMO (at best) this would be the 12th/13th best song he's released as a solo artist. If it were released on Alive or The Garden I don't think I would have given it many listens.
