Here's a promo video for this show. It features re-records of many Live tracks.

If the songs originally sounded like that, they wouldn't be hits!

I am sorry but re-recording the songs is indefensible..a lot of rock and roll bands have had breakups and I have never seen this done before..really bad...yes they have a majority ownership in Live so it's there "right" but come on, this is going too far...play the songs in concert is fine but trying to rewrite the past is just sad..this is not a pro-Ed or anti-CCP view, it's just how I see it

I would agree if they put them on an album or had it up for sale. Simply rerecording them for promo use isn't that bad, in fact if they didn't do it yet played the originals that had Ed, as a promo for a concert that wasn't going to feature Ed, would be wrong.

Says the guy who, along with many, we're unsure if the singer on a teaser of All Over You wasn't actually Ed.

He is imitating the way Ed used to sing the songs..this is so so weird..Chris really talented guy in Unified Theory, not sure why he is doing this either

I know that Journey re-recorded Don't Stop Believing when they found their new singer on youtube, and it was popular.

Live's whole deal right now is to re-create 90's live. At first, I hated the idea that Chris would sing any old tracks. After seeing the show, it seems to serve a purpose. I guess if he's going to be Ed's replacement, then it doesn't seem that much of a stretch to re-record the songs with Chris for promo purposes. I definitely agree that the vocals are the most identifiable aspect of the song and they can't use Ed.

These clips are much more listenable than current Ed trying to sound like Ed of the 90s.

I'm excited they're going to play Stage! Can't make the show, but that will be cool.

I'll be honest, I'm going to hear Top, Stage and Waitress. Tracks I never heard live. Sure, it's not Ed but Ed is no longer Ed, so..

I don't know much about these album type concerts, will they be going in order? Will they be playing Horse?

Last time Bruce Springsteen came around he was doing it. When his tour was winding down he decided to do all of his albums. He did one a night, starting with the first, in order. After playing the album he played a ton of other songs (his concerts are about 3 hours long)

It was pretty cool.

They have to stop doing "big announcements". Without airfare, this announcement was worthless to 90 percent of their FB fans.

Well, at least this announcement was only made a few hours prior to the reveal. Fans didn't have much time to speculate and get their hopes up too much.

Good to see Live playing this show near their home base. They have to get the grass-roots fans energized and this is a good way of doing it. From all the original Live fans I've spoken to, they are thrilled to see Live back with the type of energy they've been displaying. Many of them have said to me it hasn't been like this since the late 90s. After being alienated by poor music writing for over a decade, they are back as fans and ready to give their full support once again.
