I know that there are a lot of bad feelings in the Live community, but how would people feel if the original members of Live reunited in 2014 for some Throwing Copper anniversary shows(if Ed and CCP could mend fences enough for it to happen)?

Stole my idea, but made it lame. Shinn had as much to do with Throwing Copper as any of us did. Very sad.

Stole your idea? Give me a fucking break. I'm going to have to join the masses and say you're a fucking ass. Now go and ban me from this shit hole. Or don't, I won't be back.

Live is turning into a tribute act with a cover singer. It is a shame.

You are right Nick - I think CT, PD and CG read this board daily and saw your awesome idea and said.. Let's steal this great idea from Nick, you should really see a therapist it might help.

What would you have them do? Ed left the band. Walked away. Are they supposed to give their band up because one member wanted to quit? And stole your idea? Really?

1) it's 2013, not 2014 like you wrote.
2) no where does it say anniversary since its not the anniversary
3) no where in your post did you suggest they play the album front to back. I'm sure you would have wanted to hear "The River" and "Forever" anyway.

Yeah good point Steve I think Nick's idea was for them to play the entire SFBM album, that was the time period where Ed was in his prime!

They took my idea and made it lame. They can continue on, but they are making Live into a tribute cover band instead of anything original.

Weezer did it, it's not something new. It's a one night thing...nice way to rehearse and let the people see their work. Good job CCCP. We'll hear something new in 2014 at the worst.

Some real delusion here guys. Why respond to him?

I should add that if they did get this idea from Nick this is great. Its kind of like a giant "fuck you" to the haters and fools who think they would reunite with Ed for some lame anniversary tour.

I'm pretty certain Ed has a cult out there and there are some members of it here.

Did you read the Chad interview? Its far from a certainty than new Live music from Shinn and CCP will ever be released. THat being said, thought it was a great interview and Chad came across as very thoughtful and expressed his desire to play vintage Live material in a way that I can respect and understand.

I will not attend a full TC show to watch someone else sing Iris and Pillar of Davidson, but can respect the band for wanting to perform the songs that they helped create.
