I have the entire show, Sponge, Filter, Live and Everclear. I will post a torrent of the entire show over at DimeADozen soon. I'll post here once the torrent is available.

Thanks man. I look forward to it!

I posted a thread in the multimedia forum with links to the torrents and direct downloads of the audio and video of Live and the other bands: http://www.fansoflive.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5109

DVR'd the show. Watched it twice. I will say what some of you may be thinking and reluctant to express. wouldnt dare put this on the site where dissenting opinions arent welcome. i have a few thoughts. Shinn seems like he is trying really hard to sound like Ed, and to act like Ed on stage. He doesnt do a good job with it, and his voice leaves me wondering when the real show is going to start. Gracey was the star of that performance. I love watching him drum. The camera should have been on him more. He freakin tore it up! Chad, Chad and Pat sound pretty darn good, minus the obvious missing voice. But I dont see this 'cohesion' that others are harping on. Overall, they looked like they were still just going through a routine. I wonder if they are as happy with Chris as we are being led to believe.

For the record... I skipped the Atlanta Summerland show. I played a late afternoon round of golf instead. Ive never in my ~21 years of folowing Live willingly skipped an Atlanta area show. Maybe im just getting old. I hope they come back here when they come out with the new stuff. The old songs with Chris dont do it for me.

Really, this is the kind of stuff that has no place here, or anywhere else for that matter. Just express your opinion and let it go. I mean, who are you to say " I will say what some of you may be thinking and reluctant to express."

Have people told you that, or do you use it to try and make your points seem more valid? Because I'm honestly not digging Shinn neither in the least to be honest, but I'm not going to try and stir shit by saying things like that. It's ignorant and direspectful and that precisely what needs to stop permanently. It's not an opinion, it's rude and disrepectful, not to mention speculative. I've posted a few times over there that Shinn's voice doesn't do it for me, but that as far as it goes.

And what business of yours is it if the guys are "as happy with Chris as you are being led to believe?" Again, a statement like that does nothing but stir shit, or at least make an attempt to. I mean, have you been to any of the shows to see how they interact and converse with each other? Out to dinner with them to see how they get along and behave with one another? Insinuating they may not be happy with Chris is basically the same as calling them liars isn't it? Like they're telling us one thing, but something else exists behind the scenes?

My wife was at two of these shows and backstage for quite sometime at each and the guys were ALL having a great time with one another. Even laughing and hamming it up chasing each other around with powder. It's completely and utterly obvious that they are having fun with one another. Your post is a direct attempt to carry on with ignorant, disrespectful and rude insinuations about things you know absolutely nothing about. Literally, nothing. It's the type of thing that just keeps the fighting continuing on, when all you had to do is come in and say that you watched the show and didn't like Chris. Everything else was speculative and serves no purpose but to stir up argument and negativity. The time and place for that is done, gone and over.

Sorry if I sounded rude here, but it's this kind of thing that really has to stop. Trust me, I don't think Chris sounds good at all and I'm not even sure I could stomach a show with him singing these songs. Many times, I completely cringed and felt a tiny bit embarassed for him. But if anything, he's trying to distance himself from sounding like Ed and that is COMPLETELY obvious in this show when you compare it to the first recording we got of All Over You. He's much more agressive and screams a lot more and if you listen for a thrid time? You'll even here him say "WHAT!" a few times when he's singing lines from the songs. He doesn't move like Ed, nor does he attempt to and I see no trtace whatsoever that would indicate to me that anyone is going through any routine. In fact, the star of that show was CT, plain and simple. His solo additions to Iris, I Alone and White Discussion have never been heard before. He has obviously been working hard on his solo work and it shows immensely.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but at the end, CT comes mid stage, turns his guitar upside down and stams it down like a flag and salutes the crowd. It reminded me of something out of a movie and it's something I've never ever seen him do before. So I saw nothing whatsover that would make me think they were going through a routine. Maybe it's because they have only played on stage in front of a crowd a dozen times together? Ever stop to think that maybe it might be awkward and that they're not used to each other yet and lacking some kind of cohesiveness maybe? Either way, I'm not a fan of Chris singing these songs anyway, but people just need to leave it at that instead of making speculative judgments about things they know absolutely nothing about and have no expereience with. One thing I do agree with is that if you don't like it, just leave, don't bother being a fan anymore. Spreading negativity and saying disrespectful and speculative things like that serve no purpose other than to cause problems and that has been going on for years now and we are trying to get it to finally stop. Enough is enough already.

See. Perfect response that got his point across. Kinda surprised to hear that you actually watched it though. But thanks for keeping it respectful, it's appreciated.

I got to my hotel and saw it was on, I couldn't help but watch. I was surprised that I actually enjoyed Everclear's set. While Art's voice didn't sound that good, I found he interacted with the audience well.

I honestly don't understand why Live didn't use a vehicle like TV to debut a new song. It would have been a perfect opportunity.

I also watched the show the time twice the other evening and have to say that while Chris doesn't match up to the Ed from the 90s, he brings a new energy and excitement we haven't seen since then. Live is back and better than anything we had seen the last 12 years or so. A few friends of mine in the music industry are expressing similar sentiments also saying that Live is better off moving forward with a new singer than with Ed.

Their hits and their 90's nostalgia are favored by the crowd, and they need to thwart an identity issue now that Ed is gone. Recognizable, crowd pleasing radio tracks are being pushed. It seems they want to bring back their past and make everyone remember them from the 90's before they put out something new.

No, it's simply more wanting to get some practice in with Chris I think. i don't think they have enough rehearsal under their belt with the new songs with everything else they've had going on. I don't think their is much of an identity issue at all here. Like CT said, not many people, if any at all, have asked about Ed or his whereabouts. I think that a lot of people realized there was strife at hand for quite sometime, plus those who have been made aware through various avenues such as Facebook, these sites and so on.
