This was all taken care of earlier in the thread 6 weeks ago based on the link Dan provided, which said that Live was not going to be playing in Tempe. It was definitely worth calling the promoter to make sure that Live would be there.

Thanks for the details. I've started a new thread about this show here:

If you find any other info, feel free to post it there.

a ridiculous question.. does anyone know what order the 4 bands are playing in? is it the same each time or are they rotating?

my 14 yr old wants to see live next tuesday at the NJ show -- but am reluctant to drag her along if they are playing 3 or 4th - she gets up at 5am for school and she needs her beauty sleep smile.gif

The order of the bands is fixed.
First band on is Sponge. They play for around 20 minutes.
Next is Filter. Their set length is about 35 minutes.
Live is next and they play for around 40 minutes.
The last band on stage is Everclear. They play for around an hour.

Does anyone have an estimate in time of when Live will go on Saturday? I want to go in and catch the set, but want to minimize my time away from the Bruins game.

Would be perfect if they played at like, 8:40-9:20. during the first intermission, could be back at cask with a beer in hand half way through second period!

Let's see how cheap tickets get on Stubhub...

They started recording within the past year which has been followed by a mini set in a tour. Sounds common. Nothing to sneer at.

Song is fine, nothing less nothing more. If anyone compares the quality of this to early +Live+, they are lacking objectivity. Is this song better than everything on SFMB? yes but it still pales in comparison to +Live+ at their best. In my opinion, this song isn't even as good as Shinn's best stuff on the Unified Theory album, which I thought was very good but nowhere compared to Live Mental Jewelry-The Distance to Here days.

yep I think many agree that old live > live 2.0 > late live 1.0

They are playing a new song on tour.

They are doing very well with the tour right now. I won't go the Nick route and go into ticket sales and that BS, but let's just say they're killing it each night.

Anything else you want to lie about?

Like I said, she doesn't have a damn clue about what she's talking about. If you guys want to know the truth, get ahold of me.

I've heard different opinions regarding the tour. Some fans are happy, others are not. The majority that I've spoken with who have attended feel that Chris Shinn is not nearly as strong of a perfomer as Ed Kowalczyk was but some are just happy to see Live performing again regardless.

Ticket sales for Summerland are mediocre and many venues are offering deep discounts. I was actually surprised a show featuring Everclear, Live, Filter, and Sponge had failed to sell out The State Theater in NJ when Live in 2009, filled the larger Starland Ballroom and HOB Atlantic City in the same state.

A proper reunion down the line would be interesting, but I'm not holding my breath for it. I am excited for Ed's solo shows later this summer and the new album(just as CCP fans are excited to see Live's album release down the line).

What lies were we speaking of?

Anybody who's planning on catching a show on the Summerland tour, I'd recommend following Live's Twitter account.

https://twitter.com/Freaks4Live

At almost every show so far, Live have been offering passes to post show meet and greets via their Twitter account. Normally you have to Tweet a photo or Tweet a message about the show and then show it to the people manning the merchandise table.
