I didn't care for this song much, and anyone who thinks CT sounded good is fooling themselves. Don't get me wrong I am a supporter of the new lineup, but this song or maybe it was this performance was not +LiVE+ to me.

If this was not a Live song, I don't think I would hear it again

so the 1st time it was played LIVE you didn't like it cause of Taylor???
so what if he was a "tad" off, he is a heck of a back up singer

this song when it is done will be awesome and I bet you change your mind

and I bet CT knocks it out of the ballpark next time with the back ups

love this song cannot get it out of my head

Some people can't seem to separate the song from the execution of the song live.

I can pick up a guitar and whip out a rendition of lightning crashes or something. It probably wouldn't be very good. At least not 8 million sales good. Yet, the song itself IS in fact a great song and has sold millions

There were issues with the one acoustic live performance we've seen of it. For one, CT's mic was up too loud and CS's too soft. CT may have been off key, regardless the issue wouldn't have been noticeable if the mic levels were set right. The studio track might not have CT as the back vocals at all.

As far as I can tell, the song is unique and well written. The lyrics are good. It has catchy-hook elements. I'm not getting to hung up on one early performance of it live and ready to write it off.

Oh yeah, it will definitely be a great song once it's run through a bunch of computers and processed and everything. I totally get that.

It just makes me sad that Live needs that kind of help, you know what I mean? They didn't used to need computers and autotune and all of that stuff to sound GOOD live. It was kind of their name.

I want this album to be awesome, and I'm sure it'll be very good sounding once the engineers engineer the rough edges, but if these guys can't sing the songs live and sound awesome... what's the point of calling the band Live?

Just my 2 cents as someone who wants them to succeed.

That just really shows how much you know about the music. A statement like that is a low class statement.

First of all, ask any band for confirmation, there are moment while practicing, recording, playing concerts when the band sounds great - and yes, there are other moment - when things just don't sounds as good as usual. It might be the cause of a poor sound, bad mood - basically lot's of different reasons.

I myself play in a band - sometimes our practices are so great, the odd times we do sound bad - we're just not clicking for whatever reason.

So stating that their recording will be great just because of the sound engineer is a poor statement really. You've seen one show of them playing live and already made your judgment. Bad idea man.

I have listened many times to this song now and i found it very difficult to adjust to the new singer. For me this song sounds more like the group "Placebo" and nothing of Live

Oh, wow, you play in band? A real life band? Well, then, you're just an expert, aren't you?

How many times did the real band Live, the 90s band called Live, come out and play a new song and sound like this:

MEEEEEOOOOOOOWWW.

Out of tune and off key?

But I'm sure a little autotune and a good mixer and it'll sound good enough for those who have stuck around this long.

If you can imagine Ed and very early 90s Live recording it for Mental Jewelry, it sounds AWESOME. yahoo.gif
