hell yeah!
for the record...I LOVE V!!

V isn't my favourit album,.. But it has great song in FLOW, and I think it would be great to hear it live.
Does anyone know if they have played it live?

Here's a live version from back in 1998. The studio version isn't available yet, but it sounds exactly like this version.

Dan,
should I have some reason to be really really really excited about this quote?

Disagreed. Flow is one of the worst songs on the album and perhaps all time.

V is perhaps Live's most dissapointing creation. It was creative and experimental, but that by no means makes it good music. I would say this is the general consesus of most Live and non-Live fans, which was illustrated by its poor sales domestically and worldwide.

I'll leave that up to you to decide for now. But I would personally be ecstatic.

I will say this, i'd rather listen to LIVE's worst album than most band's best album.

Totally agree w/ this statement!

Dan... is this Mets again? This reply certainly looks like his style.

And if you aren't Mets... V went gold, and the critics loved it.

No, I am not Mets? V went gold in the U.S.? What critics are you referring to?

"V" did NOT go gold.

And its not like they've had that many since then. BoP is the only actual album since then.

I could've sworn it did... but now that I'm checking the RIAA database, and you're right.

Yes, I know that. However, the RIAA also certifies best-of albums.

Good job on the facts.

It wouldn't surprise me if "V" were their top seller since it followed Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi. They virtually fell off the face of the earth after "V".

actually V came after TDTH.

Anyway, back to topic, V is V is V, why change it. i love the different sounds of live. been listening to V the last coupla days. i still love okay and think the arrangement on it is brilliant. the lyrics might be lacking, but the music and background vocals are incredible. that song just lights up my brain.

i also love some of the middle-eastern sounds coming from CT's guitar throughout the album. pat also sounds exceptional. i respect the fact that V isn't for everyone, but i much prefer it to BOP or SFBM.

additional tidbit: if i am not mistaken, the original title was supposed to be ecstatic fanatic, but it got changed to V.
