Ah yes - the defender of Ed at all costs!

What's your opinion on that clip Nick?

Can you honestly say that was any good?

I thought it was fine for a youtube clip. The reaction the song received at the show was off the charts positive, and it is the reason the song was played. I've heard Ed play Lakini's Juice with the new band in concert, and it always goes over well.

The new Ed fans might like it but real original Live fans know it's a terrible.

You didn't really answer my question but by that response I think I know what you would have said anyway.

Just like many fans will find Live with Chris Shinn terrible. It is all opinion, but both groups can continue on and do well(if they work at it).

Shinn will never be the old Ed but the new version of Ed is definitely inferior to Shinn.

Chris Shinn has an average voice and average stage presence. He is a huge step down from Ed.

Of course he is - in your opinion. I guess we'll see about that.

In the meantime Ed's decline is starting to really show after that performance.

Nick, it is very unfair for you to drop a line like "why do you care you are not attending to his shows."

I try, I really give Ed a fair listen and even like about 1/3 of his songs. Why do I still bother? His voice! At his best it is in the best we can hear. I was really surprised by it in the tour following SFBM in summer 2006. I really like his blowing in the wind cover, sang it to my baby how many times.

In his acoustic shows he gives good renditions of some songs, his or Live's. I still don't like the 40/60 setlist though.

As for the rendition of LJ, look, this song is bad in concert since TDTH tour. It needs a raw voice, which he has lost over the years. The only thing that saved it was the rythm change that put a different groove in it.

True that I didn't go see Ed in 2010 I think when he was playing 2 hours away from my house. Can't pay for his stuff until he really gives his honest voews about the breakup and not repeat the same old cassette that fills the interviews.
