Ed to release a Christmas song, O Holy Night Options

Trust me it goes way deeper than just this song (which i have heard better versions sang by 5th graders) but anyway. It just blows my mind that he has lost everything that he once had and everything that made him great. Oh, btw why are you bagging on us? Hypocrisy is not a progressive trait!

Welcome to the merry go round? Ridiculous. You are comparing apples and oranges here mate. People are allowed to make whatever music they choose and fans of that music should be able to discuss it on the Ed Kowalczyk board. The Ed Haters, however, are NOT forced to listen to this music yet CHOOSE to listen to it and then flood this board with relentless criticism and negativity ALL THE TIME and in so doing drive away the people who like it. Now that is maybe what you are wanting to achieve but it is equivalent of cutting off ur nose to spite your face because you will not have enough members left to keep it going not to mention many of the people who do not mind Ed's music are old live fans who still like to contribute to the live side of things and contribute concerts etc too. If you don't like Ed's music then don't listen to it its that simple.

I don't celebrate Christmas.

I don't necessarily approve of what Ed did to my favorite band.

And I have heard better renditions of this song but i do believe that it is a cool thing for Ed or any artist to release free music. Especially music that they have gone out of their way to make for a special time of year.

You Guys have got to lay off the Ed K bashing its not only so old it's no longer funny it just makes you seem for lack of a better term "ed-like" - youve become what you hate - selfish, unable to be objective and seemingly un-intelligent in your arguments. Like most bullies.

I give it a solid ehhhh.

Ed doesn't have the range or vocal ability to sing that song. He can barely hit some of the notes, and there is definitely some vocal effect work going on there.

That being said, I wasn't expecting Ed to sing like Andrea Bocelli or Josh Groban. He sang it like Ed, it was cool to hear. But the dude who sang it in my daughter's christmas show did a better job.
