Ed shouldn't be able to do everything he's done and walk away with a clean reputation, he deserves to be dragged through the mud with actual specific details brought to light through this process. Its what he deserves!

Ed shouldn't be able to tour as "Ed Kowalczyk of Live" and he should have to pay compensation to the band for every show he billed that way.

I was flaming him because he doesn't read the threads. I'm a bit crispy lately too.

The money doesn't matter, the truth does.

I try to read the threads but they seem to blend together because they all to turn into the same mush

Jumped gun? No not at all. I didn't want a peaceful mediation, I want a full blown PR nightmare for Ed. I am with Fish. We need this out there when things move into the next step.

If Ed somehow comes out of this as innocent and wins....well we might as well turn off the lights here and the band LIVE, because then we were all duped!!!!

I know you're not an Ed fan but I think you're conflicted by the whole thing.

Mr EK is causing interference with LIVE moving forward, and this is the real tragedy. He's got his eggs all in one basket....the guise of a solo career only to live with his delusion that he is LIVE and Live continues with his shows, by himself. This is what he wanted all along.....you all wont believe me but....... you'll all see. The smart ones already do.

They tried to give Ed a PR nightmare back in 2009. He lost some fans over it, and so did they. Ed fans at this point will more than likely stay Ed fans. 99 percent of Live/Ed fans don't care about the lawsuit.

How is Ed causing interference with Live moving forward? Care to elaborate?

Ed's been throwing out press statements that he wants to get back together with the band when he has no intentions of doing so, billing himself and touring as a current member of Live, selling bootlegs of Live songs, forcing their hand in taking him to court for royalties he skimmed from band material .... ya, I don't get it either. Ed's been throwing out press statements that he wants to get back together with the band when he has no intentions of doing so, billing himself and touring as a current member of Live, selling bootlegs of Live songs, forcing their hand in taking him to court for royalties he skimmed from band material .... ya, I don't get it either. Didn't Chad Taylor make a similar statement saying that Ed is always welcomed back in Live, while they had no intention of taking him back?

He billed himself as Ed Kowalczyk of Live. He is Ed Kowalczyk of Live. As far as I can see Live with Chris Shinn haven't played an official show yet, or released original material yet. However Ed's more recent shows have been billed as former Live frontman. Either way, tickets are still selling well.

Live 2.0 should get on tour, release their music, and cut the crap with the SFBM related lawsuits.

so if they want to take care of matters with LIVE properly, perform as LIVE with CS, the public knows the truth about things. What Ed did is actually criminal, and they cut him some slack by going the civil route.

Ed's got all or nothing, his music or sweeping the floor at wal mart. Maybe you can hire him to mop the gym floor.

You responded to me when asking this so here's my thought. Keep in mind that I'm not them so I do not know every detail, but if you want my honest opinion, based on everything I've read from the band, here it is ...

I truly believe that Live would have accepted Ed back if he apologized for the ego maniac he had become, had realized the error in his ways, and had a change of heart. I do believe they extended an honest olive branch out to him, hoping that he would be receptive. I think that Ed's ego couldn't come to terms with it so he set the branch on fire, torched all the bridges, and gave a huge middle finger to his friends and to the fans of Live - thinking that he was bigger than the band and the Live experience.

I respect that he may have been frustrated with the creative aspects of the band but I feel that he was also liable for it and went about it completely the wrong way.

If you want to ask why Live broke up I'd say they were all at fault. If you want to ask why Live is not together today I would say it's all because of Ed Kowalczyk.
