Live recorded 'lift me up' while they were under a different label, making a commercial release impossible at this point. Our only hope of getting it is through a leak.

so... what's the version we have than? It isn't a live-version, is it? It sounds like a not very good quality studio version, maybe a demo, but who says they made a version you can put at an album at all? Some said, they heard a little part of the song in a movie or something, but not the whole song...

Technically they could get the rights to their own recordings, but it's a bitch of a process to go through.

I'd like to hear Don't Wait, or something of that nature.

I've never heard New City either. I think i remember an article in a guitar magazine from when TDTH was released when Chad Taylor said they recorded enough material for two albums. I'd like to hear all the stuff that didn't make the album.

so if they were able to release a 2disc album of the TDTH (too bad they didn't sad.gif ), there are maybe a few songs that we don't know anything about but DO exist. Cause, when you put all the unreleased TDTH songs together, you can't fill a second cd of say 10-12 songs. Maybe there are more unknown demo's out there.

The only version of Change I have is a bad concert recording. Anyone have a better recording?

I'm surprised noone has yet mentioned Vine Street. I LOVE this song!

And Deeper is very sexy nod.gif

Deeper is definitely a good one. Good call, Kirsten! thumbsup.gif

Don't Wait is an EXCELLENT rocker. I actually put this song at the end of my TDTH and it is a MUCH better closer than Dance With You.

The only song that I want to hear a studio cut of is Still Aroused. I know it's out there. I want it.

I liked the live version of Vine Street. The recording killed it. Same with Deep Enough and Cheetah. Great live songs that were ruined with studio cuts.

Lift Me Up is a great song too... I completely agree.

Not only did TDTH have lots of b-sides that haven't seen the light of day, but just about every song on TDTH has an alternate ending or extra parts to it. They could easily make a 2 disc version and have the second disc be the alternate takes and b-sides.

Can you say Holiday Gift 2006 anyone? smile.gif

they could re-record any song they wrote and release it. collective soul did this for their "youth" cd. they recorded it while under another label, then after leaving the label they created their own label and re-recorded the cd. eyebrow.gif

I'm a big fan of Susquehannah, I love that version from I think it's a 1993 concert in Rhode Island or something .. Ed's voice is just amazing .. give me that any day over the current falsetto .. when he's singing "the woman's love, the god's above, the woman's love, not yet, no no!" at the end of that version, awesome.

If they havent produced a B-side album after so many years and after so many great unreleased songs I doubt they will do it now. But I hope that a lot of the songs we havent heard do leak. Like New City and a better version of Change (One of my favorites) and TDTH unreleased songs and whatever else we haven't heard.

They really should focus on getting people to actually buy their A-side material. Its been 6 or 7 yrs since theyve moved a decent number of records.

You can't forget about Vine Street? That was never an official release but was on one of the older Holiday gifts if my memory serves me right.

yeah, the version we have is unmixed, unmastered. the movie mallrats has a clip of the mixed and mastered version, proving it exists.

i hope i don't sound too negative when i say this, but that would actually suck balls. ed's voice is different. the personality of the band is different. there's no way they could ever reproduce the magic that was in the throwing copper version. i'd prefer the crappy recording we have already.

that's just my 2 cents, though.
