Ed Working On Second Album Options

This was supposed to be a thread to share news about the upcoming album. Now it's 4 pages of same old same old.

Care to back up your 99% comment? No one here is expecting Ed to go back and do Throwing Copper. People are driven away over the continued lies from one or 2 trolls, trying to rewrite Live's history. I for one, have invested a lot of time and money in this band over a long time to simply stand by and accept what has happened with Ed taking over.

There are millions of live fans. Perhaps 1000 are members of this board. Now if the entire board cares about this lawsuit which won't affect anyone of us, then you won't even get 1% so I think i'm being overly conservative.

And every damn thing Ed produces results in comments about him having lost his song writing ability and is writing crap pop etc etc etc. Some people cannot realise he does not want to be what he was and is quite happy producing a new style of music that the original fans may not like. He doesn't care and nor should he an artist needs to believe and feel what he is doing not simply create something he thinks some people want. That is not an artist anymore.

U can't stand by and watch ed take over? Live have moved on and their future will hold what ever they want. And even if it hadn't, you think you could change something from comments on this forum? This forum is a blip on the radar and irrelevant in the real world and is only for some of the few hardcore fans that are left to share concerts/bootlegs and chat.

Flooding every Ed post with negativity will achieve nothing but piss off those who like his music even though such people (I am one) have been a massive Live fan from day one and am still looking forward to the new Live album too.

I honestly dont give a rats anymore about what happened and who pays what etc I just want music to listen to and feel and by the way I can't believe people are still harping on about 4 songs of The Garden will be on the final album OMG this is like so pissy and irrelevant it shows that some will jump on anything just to have a go at Ed it discredits anything else you say even if it does have some merit.

Yes I'm here and I do care about something - I love Live and have loved them forever that I can remember and thats why i'm here. Their old music means so much to me and I enjoy that we have double the new music coming out (I didn't really get TGF tho).

First off, I don't recall such an opinion when Nick was ruining every Live/TGF thread there was. I think I explained this before but I will do it again.

For those of you who don't get it, we used to post meaningful threads here and there would be discussion and sometimes debate and it would all be fine. It was respectful. It is what is actually happening over at WD. Anyhow, everytime we made a good thread Nick would come in the thread and burn it down. That is why the SJN Response Thread was created, and why it is 70 or something pages long, so his garbage would stop ruining all the good threads. And to be that big of a thread tells you he spewed a LOT of shit.

What you are now witnessing now is us trolling the troll. That's right. Ed released his EP and we gave Nick a taste of his own medicine. It got some people banned although Nick never got banned but whatever.

So you guys can complain all you want but know that you said nothing when the tables were turned and those who were supporting TGF and Live were having all their threads shit on.


EDIT: I'm sorry, the SJN Response Thread is 107 pages long. Not 70. Even worse.

People coming out of the woodwork now are essentially saying "I had no real issue with people taking shots at TGF/Live but I do with you guys taking shots at Ed!!!"

Maybe you guys should hop over to the Zion boards. I heard Ed loves that place.

I think you under estimate themillions who left in droves over Ed's control, that speaks the loudest. I'm close to the situation and I speak fromthat perspective and yes it's very slanted, but more aligned with the factsthan people want to accept. To me Ed the artist is dead. His music doesn't inspire me and hasn't since2002. His new fans are the only ones inhis corner. Yes they like the pop shit,so that's fine. I have no problem. What he's done wit butchering the old Live standards is a crime.

I actually stated I didn't careif he releases an EP. His solo recordsare of his own doing and I won't be buying either. Honestly his lyrics are totally in thedrain, it's the same re-gurgetated stuff. Over-produced sound. Rise is hisattempt to tell people he's innocent…..wait for that lead balloon.

We can agree on one of the2. TGF can only be appreciated by hardcore rock n roll fans. I can understandthis music doesn't suit all tastes but it does show C&C&P are completemusicians and even better than when they started. TGF record shows their contributions are way,way more than Ed acknowledges and this is what pisses me off. And it was a test to themselves to see if thepush to have them muted made them jaded all these years…..it far from made themjaded, it reignited them. It allowedthem to understand in themselves to continue Live in the traditional method andmessage. Total collaboration, allmusic!!! No control freaks needed inthe new journey. Ed's proved one thing,he has changed to the person he used to write about.
