The whistling in Nobody Knows *shudder* was there any need for that?

I thought the collaboration with Tricky was great both on V and Tricky's Evolution Revolution Love. I nearly died when I first heard it on the radio and suddenly Ed's started singing the chorus.

Ed's a whistler. Recall that he whistles in "Waitress" off TC too. So I guess in that respect, he's doing something similar to what he did on TC. Go figure.

Personally, I think the whistling is perfect. It fits right in.

Funny enough the first time I ever saw Ed was when I was back in Jamaica watching our second TV station ( yes at that time we finally got another and now I hear its up to three ). The video by Tricky came on I was wondering what the hell is this, then Ed came on signing the chorus. I liked the chorus. I remember seeing his name, tried to pronounce it then gave up. hehe. Somehow I remembered it though and soon after I came to US in 1998 when I was working at the Gap and this nice girl introduced me to Live, she had it on cassette (Throwing Copper) She actually gave me two cassettes one was Third Eye Blind debut and the other was Throwing Copper.
I was already familiar with 3rd eye Blind from listening to American Top 40 which broadcasts in Jamaica. But Live I had never heard of. Anyhoo, I remember this guy's weird ass name and his bald head from the Tricky video. I listened to the cassette, broke it, then went out and upgraded ( as I'm sure the girl did that introduced me to them ) to CDs. I've been a huge fan of 3rd Eye Blind and Live since have all their Cds.

So in closing, the first time I saw Ed was because of his collabo with ulgy ass Tricky.

Oh and I love the whistle.gif I think he should do it more. Or I'd love to hear it in concert just once. lol.gif

"V" would have been somewhat decent if they left off "Simple Creed" and "Call Beau .. err Call Me a Fool" off the album. You can call it simple as that, fool

Does anyone have a version of Overcome with the full band? I have never heard it and think it would be pretty nice.

Here's a live version from back in 1998. The studio version isn't available yet, but it sounds exactly like this version.

I believe it's available at bootlegheaven.com (it's the 98 Chameleon show).
