Wow, I just wanted to say that I have listened to all of the covers so far and they are all terrific. I give credit to anyone that takes the time to do these. God knows I try to do them myself all the time and just don't have that desired talent. I'll be sending my 2 entries in this week. Hope you all enjoy them at least a little bit. It will certainly be tough with this bunch of songs. Great job to everyone.

^ Seconded.

Even if I had a decent mic, there's no way in hell I'd do as good as some of the others.

So my recording sucks simply because it wasn't done in a professional studio, or because I can't sing as well as Ed Kowalczyk.

Give me a fucking break. This contest is open to EVERYONE.

nod.gif to what Sandkind said!!!!
Not everyone can play an instrument. Not everyone has the proper recording instruments. And yes the contest is open to everyone.

Beau I wish you had instruments backing you. And better tools. Still, from what i heard that you can definately sing. A little tweaking here and there but hey, this is not American Fucking Idol.

Good Job to everyone.

Thanks for the compliment smile.gif

I wish I had backing instruments as well. I've got a guitar, but this mic I have isn't good enough to record it.

Part of my vocal problem is that I've got a mouth ulcer that hurts like hell, and that most likely caused a problem. Also (and this is probably indirect), I'm from a small town that's the home of some country music singers, so my accent rubbed off a bit as well.

Oh well, what can I say? As you said, this isn't American Idol.
