Alright, time for another installment, a look at someone who makes me scratch my head and ask the question "Will the real EddieK(Live) please stand up!"

Let's take a look at look at recent events and a topic in which Ed and some Ed fans have been chiming on about - the Reunion. Yes, the reunion of Ed with his old bandmates to reform Live and then what? One has to ask Ed what his motives are for such a wish! We should examine those motives and see if they make sense. If it's even a good idea! (BTW, it's not!)

Ed would LOVE to get back together but then what? Pretend that nothing has happened? Pretend that everyone's good friends again? Pretend that the last few albums and years and years under the rule of Ed didn't exist? That certain demands and words were never said to bandmates? It's hard enough to move on from those things but a reunion that doesn't even address what went on? I think not! It's much easier to sweep issues under the rug then to tackle them head on with some truth, some honesty and some integrity. I doubt that a certain's person ego would be able to overcome those obstacles and face the music. Reunion? There's a lot of mending that needs to be done if that were even a REMOTE possibility of happening.

But let's switch gears and talk about and examine Ed's motives for a reunion. Why does Ed want to get back together? Could it be financially driven? Could it be he was SEVERELY mistaken in his thought that there's no way the band could survive without him? (If that isn't the definition of EGO then what is?) His desire to leave and pursue another chapter in his career stinks EGO, MONEY, and GREED. The latter of which is most evident with secret contracts that have only ONE PURPOSE in mind! Solo career? Sure! "more money for me", "I wrote the stuff anyways", "I was the driving force", it won't "be a popular decision" and I'll do it as "eddiek"... no wait, better make that "eddieklive", and my tour will be called "I Alone" and I will use the Live namesake to make me - you guessed it! MAKE ME MONEY!!

But back to motives - Ed would like to get back with the guys to:

Make more music, make lots of records, tour and do a bunch of shows and most importantly MAKE MONEY!!!

This is where the crux of the problem lies. You want to get back because your reasons are purely and financially motivated. To make money. Is there ever a WORST REASON to reunite than this? There's absolutely no integrity in these motives. Reunite mind you NOT to make amends, not to say you're sorry, not to say you fucked up, not to say you treated people wrong, not to say I don't know what happen to me, not to show remorse and regret but hey!!! LET'S GET BACK and crank out some tunes, tour a lot, have fun and MAKE MONEY! No.. when you stab your best friends in the back, Ed should have much better reasons to reunite than to have it be financially motivated. This tells you everything you need to know about a man. Ed getting back would be the worst thing ever and his reason for wanting to? Yeah even if he didn't sing another song ever again, the right thing to do is something his ego and pride would not allow him to.

A reason to reunited? Money driven! What? Don't believe me? Give me $50 bucks and I'll send you an "I Alone" lyric sheet complete with a THUMBPRINT!

On the topic of integrity, this pipedream would never happen anyways. There is a new singer and bandmember now, the guys are extremely proud and happy with Chris, he brings fresh air, talent, humor, fun, and rock and roll back to the table. The guys don't even entertain the thought of Ed's pipe dream reunion because they know his motivations and besides they would never disrespect their new bandmate. He is the best thing to happen to Live and it will show in the music! Plus he's funny as shit (as any of them)... there's no more tension in the room like there was when EGO was in the band. CCCP is here now, so on the topic of reunions JUST SAY NO!

So no more quotes Ed to newspapers about giving the fans what they want, no more campaigns on FB and the Internet about a reunion, no more quotes about getting back together. Not GONNA HAPPEN! Let's face it - "Ed fucked up" and it's a good thing - Live moves on!

-Jimmy

I see his declaration that he'd like to reunite as merely a ploy to turn popular opinion against CCCP and in his favor. If Live is seen continuing without Ed when he wants to reunite it will seemingly resonate with fans that don't know what is going on. I think he's trying to put a damper on any acceptance Live may gain when they resurface. It speaks to me that he is actually worried enough to try to do this and he may be realizing his fate if and when Live makes a successful return.

It's absolutely a good thing. Live stopped making good music with Ed at the helm years ago. I stopped going to Live concerts with Ed fronting because I got exhausted of his tired act. In fact the last Live show I saw with Ed at the front was so bad I was extremely pissed I spent $100+ for my wife and I to go see them. It was the same garbage over and over again. It became embarrassing to be a fan of this guy ripping off his shirt, gyrating for the old fat cat ladies in the joint.

It's fine. Ed can continue toiling around with his solo "career" but Live needed to move on without him. There's absolutely no way in hell they would want him back after the way he sank that ship.

And maybe it will be late, but I have a feeling that we'll get unreleased tracks one day... Legal stuff must be involved for the previously unreleased tracks I guess.

See, here's an example of a post that is quite correct in questioning the legality of old releases. There are things to consider, even simple things like "permission", royalties etc.. I would imagine that Nick would at least be familiar with legalities of things, if not Nick, lemme know and maybe I can leave you a voicemail. I mean really now - you embarrass me

What about the people who bought a Homespun membership with the promise of unreleased tracks? Did they reimburse those fans when they didn't deliver?

You need a ride to the show right? I could swing by North Bergen and we could make a cool road trip out of it! Come on Nick don't wuss out like that what would Hulk say? Brother! Get back to me!

Btw how's Ed doing? You talk to him lately? Does he still want back in the band? Lol

Maybe they should have...fans still have the choice of buying the membership or not the year after...I'm not a member myself and never was. See, we have also criticized Live in that matter and others over the last 2 years. The only thing you whispered about Ed is that there was a lack of communication within the band, so you were not even blaming only Ed for this.

I have no problem with you personally, but I can think of plenty of other people I'd rather hit a concert with.

Did you ever thank me for the meet and greet pass I got you so you could meet your hero EddieKLive back in the day? You remember right? How was that experience? Remember the days when you bashed Ed? And now look at you! You've come so far Nick. I'm proud of you. Now you are EddieKLive's right hand man! Good job buddy. What lotion does he prefer? smile.gif
