Looks like Ed is going to release I'm the Proof also when he sings the whole song himself. I've thought his EP would include remixes from songs from 'Alive'.

Anyway, Solar Flare is not my fav. I think the strongest songs are Rise and I'm The Proof. The Garden and Solar Flare are the weakest ones. Really would like to hear Mind Games.

I'm the Proof is my absolute fav so far. It was a good choice of Ed to sing the song with Eva.

I respect your opinion but i actually can't say i dislike any of them.
Also, Why on earth would he put songs remixed or not from his first cd onto his second? That would be a bad move imo. I'm not big on covers. I really wish he would have just put another one of his songs on it.

That is what I think too. It would have been a good timing for him to release a full record. The EP has a sound that shows some production, more than most of Alive.

Solar flare has an interesting little interlude in the middle. I like it for that but the lyrics are still cringeworthy.

Oh my god... That remix of Rise is horrible. I laughed out loud; he's trying to do dubstep.

One thing though. The remix of the garden... I like it. If the rest of the song is like the 30 second clip it easily is the best thing I have heard from ed since DWLF.

I showed these songs to my friends and family and they laughed at me for listening to it in the first place. Then I told them who the singer was and they dropped to the floor crying and laughing at what has become. This is a prime example of the reaction to Ed's music today.

too much from the same thing. if he did some remixes from his Alive album the EP would become more interesting. Now it's too much from the same thing if you get what i'm sayin.

Anyway, i'm going to buy the physical release in december.

I actually like Solar Flare better than all the others I've heard. I still get faint vibes from old Ed. I'm interested to see how he evolves from this EP.

Agreed completely. I think his music suffers from authenticity problems. IMHO, if he can really connect with himself and let go a bit, he can produce great music again.

I like that 30 second clip too. lol.gif

I can see that getting played on pop radio stations right between Katy Perry's "Wide Awake" and Maroon 5's "One More Night"...

So "Mind Games" is the Lennon cover Ed is doing for his EP. Good choice!
