Like I said, they tried posting here and it didnt work for them, hell Nick was arguing directly with KM about how KM viewed TGF; pretty sure KM knows more about that than Nick does. They gave up on this place long before WD came along, if WD never came along i doubt they would post anywhere. If this place had actually done something to stop the descent into madness they may have come back .. as it turns out we have what we have and thats where we are now.

I moved my own post, sorry for putting it in an improper forum....

There are a few reasons why I have moved to WD as an active participant and only stop by here on occasion normally just to read...
- The people on WD along with myself share a common bond in that we care about and support the future of +LIVE+.
- The negativity is gone. Yeah sometimes the infighting on this board is entertaining, but when all that seems to be left is negativity and fighting and little actual content it's time to move on. Personally I have zero interest in what Ed is doing these days musically. There have been a handful of times in the past where I have bashed Ed on this board for what I see as him destroying my favorite band. But those were a handful of times and I can't stand the people that have nothing better to do then talk negative about what LIVE is today. Maybe I should become an active poster on this board again and do nothing but post in the Ed forum and bash him on a daily basis, it wouldn't be any different then what a few people on here do for LIVE.
- I've said it before and it's a shame it had to come to this but a select few individuals have destroyed this board as the trolls have been allowed to run uncontrolled.

And this is going to sound like an advertisement but personally I don't give a shit. For anybody that has both been a fan of what LIVE once was but also is excited about what the future of LIVE can be, if you haven't joined yet I encourage you to come join us at WD. Thanks to Jimmy for creating a place where those that support the current band can gather without the negativity.

But I don't understand how you it doesn't compute that CCCP don't like the environment here, so they don't post here. That's all it is. Saying "they should just ignore it" is what YOU would do, but everyone is different and as i say, they probably feel really uncomfortable with arguments flying all about ABOUT THEM, regardless of whether they partake in the arguments or not, they just don't like it.
That's out fault, Team Ed, Team CCP and the board management, its not something to level at the guys.

I don't think it is really necessary to compare WD and FOL. It's fine that the guys have given up, because they may have seem better things to do but to collaborate in fruitless discussions. It can be seen differently though. It's perfectly fine, if they come back in the other board. Better for everyone!

What i referred to was the capturing the other thread, just because Diane said something negative about how she felt about the clip, although she said she is looking forward to more of them. That seems to be such a trigger, that it has to be called anti-live and the whole thread has gone to shit. This disproportion has led me to think, the other board is not enough for letting off steam. Not to get this wrong: On WD this is all more or less positive. It's more, hey cool to have such a great place. That makes this, happening in the Live clip topic here, so disappointing. And that's all I am calling out.

Well when the discussion is why do they post in one place but not the other, then I think that is where a direct comparison between the boards is necessary to the discussion. You can't have that discussion without comparing the two, it's like saying discuss the differences between apples and oranges without comparing the two.

But as for the ORIGINAL point of the first thread of people being "anti-live" if they didn't like the clip, that's something else, if thats the case then I'm anti-live too because I didn't think a lot of it. As for Diane, I just don't think many people believe her when she says she is "looking forward to hearing more".

He might get attacked by members, but then again so did members of LiveTGF. You can't say he doesn't belong here or the place isn't for him because if you say that then it's not for people like Nick either. So I'd imagine you also blame Ed for not posting here?

Thanks, I just read that and that just makes my blood boil. I mean it's evident to me the protection of trolls on here is not a hallucination. You got a certain someone stating in that same thread:

And then a full on campaign to get EK back in the band *WHILE* the band has a new lineup, had done 2 shows with the new lineup, and making a new album with the new lineup... I mean all this said and done *WHILE* CCCP exists is ridiculous to a find on a site that should really rename itself to fansoftheoldlive.com

I can understand that people who are exclusively on this board doesn't want to hear all the time, that they are Anti-Live. Because most aren't. And Dan isn't either. He has his rules and I guess he can explain everything he does, even in this whirlwind. That doesn't make him Anti-Live and should not provoke to call him that.

Well it wasn't meant as an insult, more an honest wondering, maybe I am the one with the comprehension problems, but I just failed to see how someone could comprehend that they don't post here because they don't like it here.

ah ha! now there is something many of us have been saying for a long time, it's not an Ed fan board, its for LIVE. Clearly some people aren't here for Live and we argued they shouldn't be here at all then. And if you say "well Ed was a part of Live.." as a justification for them being here, then surely that means Ed should be here posting too! Hell I think of all the Live guys it was actually a person not in Live, KM, who posted here more than any of them. Surely Ed could come and post in his little Ed section right?

I agree with you for the most part, people like Opine shouldn't be called anti-live for just being here and for not really digging the clip. As for the board, i'm personally not gonna go on calling it an anti-live board, can't stop others from saying that ... i dont think it really is, but it certainly doesn't have Live's best interests at heart anymore. World Dreamer said it best when he said this board has an identity crisis, and I think that's exactly what it is.
