hmmmm.....now i'm hoping for a great new Live album but this sounds...ummm.....well lets just say i'm totally surprised by the ed bagging in his section and then go on to hear this. I hope that this is really just a joke or something because that surely can't be an actual recording can it?

Apparently it's just a clip of backing vocals being recorded, not really something that is a true representation of what the end product will be. I wasn't overwhelmed by it either but I can at least recognise making any sort of opinion on the song based on that is jumping the gun.

Yeah i'm not judging the song only commenting on the snippet which I don't think should have been released after hearing it....it just put a bit of a dampener on it for me but hopefully that means i will b pleasantly surprised when the finished product is out there!

i think theyre just a bunch of blokes having the time of their lives making a new Live record and not really giving a shit about presenting us with quality, rather they probably had a few beers and thought it was a good idea. The clip sounded like shit, and im sure they dont care. What they know matters is the final product. At least i hope they fucking do. !!!

this will be an unpopular post on this board but it's just my opinion from what I have seen...it is one thing to spend a lot of time on a project because you want every detail to be perfect, but that does not seem to be the case here...it almost seems like the fans are taking this more seriously than them and they are just casually recording when they feel like it

Of course it was a backvocal being recorded. We have to stop the drama about this one. Like the way the guys look organised for their work. They really seem to take it seriously. When I see this I don't mind when we'll hear it because I know they put their soul in it.

Aren't taking it seriously? Can't agree there. I have only ever been involved in making on EP in a studio years back and this was how we did it, mucking around, laughing, playing pranks, coffee runs etc... But that was in among writing and recording stuff I'm still pretty proud of. It was the good natured atmosphere that allowed the work to just.. happen. Everyone in every dynamic works differently according to what works for them, how you can say they're not taking it seriously based on so little "evidence" is beyond me, they might work for what 8-10hrs a day when they get together, and we see what, 5-6 photos per session and a <1 min clip? How anyone can make an informed decision or opinion on how they are spending the rest of the time is pure speculation.

That's completely false. I am both a CCP and Ed fan.

I know this might be hard for you to understand, but I respect Ed immensely for the music he helped make from 91-99. I also respect CCP and their efforts (I bought and enjoyed TGF album and went to two concerts) so please don't belittle an opinion of mine just because you don't agree with it. Believe it or not, not everyone's opinions are based on personal alliances with people they barely know.

they all want to make good music; Ed seems way a little calculated and presumptive in his approach, whereas CCCP seem like they want to make dynamic, collaborative, artistic material. Ed has a clear chirstian soft-rock/pop blueprint which he is/has followed for a few good years now. Each to their own. Obviously for those who have followed the band from their glory days, Ed's approach (coupled with his apparent lack of moral character) is somewhat of a bewilderment... at the end of the day what matters is what you want to put into your ears when you need stimulation/satisfaction/ expression
