I think people are missing the point here, cats really have nothing to do with it. It's the "crazy" in "Crazy cat lady" that is the key. It's not that she posted a cat picture. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting someone on the internet that doesn't post cat pictures (no pun intended). It's the fact that the lady is basically a lunatic, ranting and raving, going off her nut like like the stereotype of a crazy cat lady does.
She toned down her act somewhat from what she was a few months back, but she is a bit nutty.

Besides posting pictures of his cat, Chris Shinn doesn't really appear to go crazy on message board forums and make up lies only to be proven to be a liar.

And while it may well be a derogatory term, I think you gotta ask yourself why someone is having derogatory terms thrown at them. You got rid of the thread pretty quickly where she was making wild and completely false accusations and throwing a tantrum insinuating that certain people are liars ... some people don't take too kindly to that.
