Also, I wouldn't consider Adam to be a first rate musician anyway. I know some around here like him but I've never been hugely impressed.

Same, I'm glad someone else thinks that ... I once said how I thought Adam was really nothing special and got pounced on with "HE'S A NICE GUY!!!" ... and he is, any time I've met him he was extremely down to earth, very humble, seemingly not like his older brother at all. But it seems people mistake his good nature for his musical abilities. He's capable, but he's nothing out of the ordinary or first rate as you say.

As far as I know Adam's got a 9 to 5 job now, he's married and has a gorgeous daughter.

He's also gone the shaved head route and looks scarily similar to Ed, poor receding hairline Adam..I was just listening to him this morning. Brilliant musician he is on his own and it's sad that none of his stuff has really taken off.

My best guess is that Adam refused artwork, coffee, wine, and phone calls as payment. Ed now refers to him as "that individual".

Because you have no idea as to why Adam is no longer playing in Ed's band. Just like you have no idea how many seats venues in NH have sold for Ed's shows.

No I do not. He hasn't been out on the road and that was more directed at the hacks trying to play Gracey's drum parts or the CT's guitar parts.. I mean.. have you seen their rendition of Lakini's Juice? I watched some of the stuff on YouTube and you talk about them butchering Live songs! You talk to any musician and they'll tell you compared to CG, CT, and PD, that musicianship is sub par and second rate. Seriously? Their drummer couldn't hang with CG. And even the rift on LJ on the video I saw, just wrong.. They really are doing an injustice to the Live catalog. If I went to the show I'd want my money back.

As far as Adam, he's not a second rate musician, I happen to dig a lot of his stuff, he's a talented guy and I wish I could play nearly as good as he could on guitar. Objectively speaking though, if you were to ask me to compare his musicianship and guitar playing against someone like Sean Hennessy I would tell you that Sean is a much better guitar player. He really shreds! I don't even think it's close. But Adam, second rate? Nah.. the other hacks? YES! Nowhere near what CG, CT, and PD can produce onstage sonically.

And here lies the infamous quote from Nick where he said that Ed's band performed with "no noticeable drop offs". And yet he wants Ed to get back together with CCP ... we asked him why because it certainly can't be to do with anything from a musical stand point since he can't tell the difference between Ed performing with one group of musicians to another ... so it stood to reason the only reason he wanted Ed to play with CCP again was because it would mean Ed would get a bigger pay day.
Like i've said in the past, Nick must get the same feeling watching Ed get his paycheck as a proud parent gets when they watch their kids open presents on christmas morning. It's just fucking weird.

Honnestly Since Chad T isn't that good as a guitarist it is not that difficult to replace the guitar parts. But even so they butchered Lakini's Juice big time without even having the good guitar parts...Screw them.

As for the rythm section it takes good players to fill for Pat and CG. We all know thet PD was castrated since probably even TDTH on some tracks. I'am looking forward to hear him particularly in the new record. He is THE man in Mental Jewelry and from MJ to SS it was the rythm section that was holding the songs, not only Ed's voice.
