Well, since this is a Live forum and people in recent weeks have been asking here and there my opinion of the new music. I'll say this much. I like the sound. I'd say it's a great departure away from melodic slower tunes we've been getting to more jam-oriented energized rock driven CD's of the early half of the band's career. Some of the stuff reminds me of TDTH and SS era. SS in a musical sense, not in a dark atmospheric sense.. Just straight up rock and roll! I think CT at one point likened it to a cross between U2 and Radiohead, and I can see that completely. If you're a fan of Unified Theory then you're familiar with Chris' vocals and I have to say he's got great vocal range. One major difference I can immediately tell is the abundance of collaboration in the studio. Everyone's involved and the atmosphere is relaxed, fun, and creative. I would say that yeah, while the fanbase might be somewhat splintered, if you're a fan of music, you'll really dig CCCP. Hopefully the guys will post more teasers but as you can tell from what they have posted, it will be a rocking CD, a breath of fresh air.

Well, I have not heard enough yet to really say what i think. But please, u2 and radiohead are two of my least favorite bands ever. I'm a fan of music so i am willing to atleast check it out. I have a feeling only thing i will love is chads playing style as i always have. Have to wait and see.

Thanks for the input Jimmy.

Not a big fan of either U2 or Radiohead, but I know Shinn with CCP is going to be solid.

Has Memphis laid down any tracks on the record?

Sean stopped by when Live were in studio in Nashville with the guys from Candlebox to say hello and hang out. I haven't seen him doing any recordings with Live. He did say along with KM that they have material to record for TGF but that may have to wait since the guys are really super busy working with Chris on the new Live record.. not to mention they are busy helping to rebuild York, Reading, and surrounding areas with their business ventures.

I did find a guitar pick of Sean's at their studio space... damn litter bug leaving his crap around.. lol

How much do you want for it? And do you ship to Australia.

It's been a while Jimmy. I met you at a meet & greet in Brisbane in 2006.

CT got you to sign the poster for me that I had there. "Brought to you by Nikon". Classic.

Well I took a photo of of the guitar pick, I don't actually have it. But next time I see Sean, I'll ask him for a pick. When I get it I'll PM you for your address and send it to you.. No charge man, I'm not like that, you're a fan I'm sure Sean won't mind, he's a cool guy.

I remember they made a poster of my shots.. I think I might have some in a poster tube somewhere. "Brought to you by Nikon" is that what I wrote? lol.. yeah 2006, I want to say those photos were probably all done on the older D100 and D2X I had at the time. Horrible for low light performance. It's amazing some of those photos came out halfway decent. These days I shoot on a D3 and 2 D300's.

Cheers,
-Jimmy

Thanks! I saw the picture of the pick that's what me think he was involved. New Live and new TGF next year (maybe sooner) will be epic. Can't wait!
