QUOTE(Rupe @ Sep 5 2012, 12:09 pm) *

The only way Live "fails" with Shinn is if they don't get along as a group, and/or don't like the music they are producing. While I'm sure they would enjoy it, I doubt being a #1 band is on their list of needs, or is a measure of success to them. Producing a product they enjoy and are proud of is more important.

The only way I see Ed coming back is if CCP&E can resolve their personal AND musical differences. I don't foresee CCP asking or welcoming Ed back just because of lack of album sales or a cheesy reunion tour.

Someone said that if Live failed then "Ed would hold all the cards". Hunh?? He may have the cards, but he's playing solitiare. He can't force his way back in. I think CCP would rather retire Live if it no longer worked, than go backwards and become a nostalgia act. I would support that.

What up Rupe!

Live will finally redeem itself musically with this new album, I believe. Further redemption will be achieved when Ed begs to come back because his crap solo act fails long term.

Can't wait to hear what this band has to offer sans Ed!

Ed's been doing well touring solo for over 3 years, LIVE 2.0 hasn't even played their first official show yet. The long term prospects of LIVE with Chris Shinn are murky at best.

LIVE only fails with CS if the music sucks. sales and charts aren't what its about.

Ed is on a different road. Any reunion of the original four is not something I foresee, or desire.

I don't know if I like Live's new music yet, but I have reason to be hopeful.
I also have reason (based on Rise and the other song that's on YouTube) to believe that I won't love Ed's new stuff (which makes me a little sad). But based on all evidence so far, Ed and CCP aren't currently interested in the same music.

I'm cool without a reunion. I'm pretty sure CCP aren't currently looking for a musical reunion either. (I don't know them. just based on moving forward w CS in a studio).

I have and will continue to gladly wait for a proper, real Live album. I'll purchase it the second it's available.

A reunion will never happen. CCP will never break up with Chris Shinn. I can understand the guys (CCP and Ed) wants a reunion, but it will never happen.

It's a bit sad and a bit difficult as well. CCP can't have a reunion with Ed and continue with Shinn. If they want a reunion with Ed they have to dismiss Shinn. Like i've said before, it will never happen. CCP will never break-up with Shinn. They can't go on with 2 bands called Live.

Maybe Live shouldn't have chosed another band name for Chris....CCCP can still play Live songs under another name!

But, we all want the spirit of Live! maybe it's good they didn't change it!

...Ok..it's all difficult for some of us, i really don't know...Maybe it's better for us all Live goes on with Shinn.. Maybe a reunion within 10 years can happen. First, i want some new Live music. smile.gif

What are you even basing that on? And, if Ed AND CCP want a reunion, of course it would happen. I think your logic is flawed.

Ok. Some of my words are wrong. There is a change of a reunion of Ed and CCP. But, mark my words, CCP will never break-up with Shinn.

You Ed lovers all want a reunion, i completly understand. Ed fucked his change of a reunion earlier, he doesn't deserve to be a part of Live anymore, in my opinion.
