grain of salt jayda. They have always kept Live new releases close to the vest. With the movement to want Ed back, they'll keep it closer. The Nashville sessions were scheduled. It was stated a little while back that they'll get back to is shortly. Live will have proper mgt team and the like, as it always has.

I suppose you can tend to overlook the fact that Live, as a working entity, was not just the result of four individuals. They were the catalysts, but they had a lot of people who performed many different functions for them that allowed them to do what they did and be who they were. Who's doing all of these things now?

Another thing that you can tend to overlook is the fact that they have a few more irons in the fire these days than they did back in their heyday. Back then music was probably the only focus the guys had. They didn't have the business ventures. They didn't have side projects. They didn't have full-fledged families. They were just kids living the dream. But they're not kids anymore. They've got kids. They've got a lot of different things pulling them in a lot of different directions. Not to mention they've got this ongoing legal dispute that has connections to the very thing they're wanting to get going with

Patience and perspective. Those are the words of the day.

yeah, all that is why I think that LIVE is not high on their agenda. Ed and CT's older kids aren't toddlers anymore - they've been around for awhile? So family isn't something so new and they worked around them before. We all have shit (as in stuff!) going on in our lives. You plan and work around it. I have at least 3 irons in the fire as well as family life. I have to travel interstate regularly for one of my jobs but it doesn't mean the rest of my life falls apart. I have no one to take up the slack for me. I'm the main child carer as well. I plan.

I think their planning fails miserably. Like Fish says with the website. Seems like it sounded like a good idea at the time but it should have been made as part of a business plan or the like.

They need professionals in to do the other stuff because clearly they have no interest in it. Having a fan do it for nothing is the same as someone we all know doing kiss arse facebook pages for Ed.

That's really not the same... at all, actually. You don't think band managers/publicists/web designers/etc. are fans of the bands they represent? More than often they are, and they are often willing to help out artists they are huge fans of even if it's at a cheaper rate than what they normally do. It's a part of the business, and you'd never know that the person behind it all is a fan at all because rule number 1 is that no one should know who you are.

Is this discussion about the website or the album now? The album is actually coming together really quickly considering that they started writing at the first of the year (?).

Sure you could be a fan doing it for them at the going rate but I meant doing it for nothing. I think it needs to be a professional relationship firstly. And secondly and most importantly, why should you do it for free? I would bet my last dollar their lawyers aren't working for them for free, fans or not!

Not that I would ever have the opportunity, but that'd be my business wouldn't it? smile.gif

sigh....guess so. In that case I would hope they would insist on making payment - you know, like hire you for your talents not because you offered it for nothing nod.gif

Back when I did it for a significant chunk of my income I am totally with you, but now I just do it for fun. It's a nice distraction. Of course, I generally forget to do it for my own band... woops. You realize we are talking about a crazy pipe dream that I threw out as an example right? smile.gif

Hoodie, you were on a roll last night...

It's a shame the F4L site is so stagnant. I sincerely hope they get a chance to get someone in charge soon. It's an easy way to get the word out.

Would have liked to see what was going on yestersay...anyway, the maintaining of Freaks4live contribues to the uncertainty of the situation (lawsuit, CS status, Ed wants to come back, etc.) A clear statement and a timeframe for the album would be good enough...or I don't know once in a while a band member could sgare a thought about a song...you know just to keep it alive.
