Ha Ha Ha !!!! What a crock of shit!

I've heard Ed say numerous times that he "wanted to go in a new direction" and that he was "moving on" to a new phase in his life. That he has never been happier.

Now he flips?

That email is a total PR statement trying to save face. Everything Ed has stated about the split to this point completely contradicts his email.

It will sound good to anyone who hasn't payed attention to what he's been saying the past few years.

I think this thread should be in the Ed section.

That way I never would have seen it and wouldn't have thrown up in my mouth.

I remain willing to put it all behind us, and I would be excited to pursue a reunion with my bandmates, giving LIVE fans all over the world what they truly want."
If this happened I would never see Live again and would never look back. Apparently Ed has his head so far up his ass that he does not realize that only about 5% of Live fans want him back.

5% of live fans on this board, not 5 percent of live fans

I think based on popularity and wane since Ed took over, many are not clamoring for Ed to return to the way things were in the past 10 years.

You could be right. Although this board would be a very good snapshot of their more dedicated fan base. Ed just needs to read a few threads to get the picture.

This is an interesting argument. and it makes me wonder - who/where are Live fans? besides here. I believe its safe to say the majority here doesn't want a reunion as is...
but the listening public - when I told people I was going to see Live in March, and since as well - I have to start singing Lightning Crashes. and NONE of the people that I have to sing to know Ed is no longer in the band.

I think if we talk about the listening public, they wouldn't even know the band split.

Fans - people who follow the band and know of Chris Shinn's existence - I believe most of those people are team CS at this point. But those people are, at most, a few dozen, maybe a hundred in number, outside of this board. I have coworkers who live in York and get the York paper and didn't know anything about the split and lawsuits except to say "yeah there was something in the paper..."
though one of those coworkers did know "the guys from Live bought that old building"

All fair points DQ. Anything is fair game in the courts I guess. The public will read in passing a story like that and take it w/o much, unless they are more into the band like we are.

i thought he had no plans to work with those individuals again?

How can they have a 'reunion' when they are recording a new album with another vocalist?

Is Ed looking for a permanent return as the lead singer?

Would he open a reunion show with 'I am the Proof'???

Will he still write homo music for Live?

Until he found out he couldn't use the name Live anymore.

How can they have a 'reunion' when they are recording a new album with another vocalist?

He is pretending it doesn't exist.

Is Ed looking for a permanent return as the lead singer?

No, just wanting to win the PR war.

Would he open a reunion show with 'I am the Proof'???

He'd probably want to, after all according to him he is still in the band.

Will he still write homo music for Live?

Don't equate gay people with his awful music, that is so offensive to them.
