I dunno man, I really like EPs. That's why we keep putting them out. Removes the pressure of having to have 10-11 songs (which leads to filler tracks) and let's face it, most albums don't mean anything as a whole anymore.

I say that but I freaking concept albums and the like, I just don't find it to be a necessity anymore. Hell, old albums used to be 7-8 songs and that's it.

If they have a bunch of random songs recorded, they should really take the indie/punk approach and put stuff out on 7"s. I think as rabid collectors that some Live fans are (and by extension, TGF), they wouldn't have trouble moving them. They could do short runs of ~500, and I think they would probably sell easily. Might be a good way to officially get this out there

are you a drummer? this isn't actually a difficult beat. (I've been playing for about 12 years or so). Not dissing it though, it is a cool beat - often some of the best drum parts are simplistic.

I can't get the hi-hat hits right with the tom pattern. I've always figured it was because of the tom he has on the left. But, I also haven't sat down to really figure it out for any meaningful amount of time (I haven't had a kit in my house for six years now, I just play when I'm asked to record something or play live).

It's the first thing I've ever heard Gracey play that I couldn't play instantly, which I suppose is why I mentioned it.

But then those 7-8 songs were not 3 minutes long anyway!

yeah, that tom on the left can make things awkward sometimes. His setup feels really weird to me, but he makes the most of it!!!

lol, yeah, I used to live in a townhouse, and could only play when I knew the neighbors on both sides were gone. I still guessed wrong occasionally, and would get an aggravated knock on my door

I am a heavy hitter, so it is going to be a no-go until we get a house (if ever). Fortunately I play guitar too so I can at least make that manageable. I also get to rock out for projects and do production work, but I miss the therapy of destroying some drums! Those were the days...

You can drum with cardboard boxes and apparently there are "no noticeable drop offs".
