Report!, Here's an idea Options

So I just noticed there is a "report" button. I'm wondering with a few members returning to the board, and from what I understand, returning with a real intention not to cause trouble in the Ed section or get drawn into big arguments with Nick, people want to give the ignore thing another honest chance. So what if whenever we see a postby Nick which we believe is designed to cause trouble or just isn't needed, we simply hit the report button and move on, it brings to light to Dan any attempted shit stirring and that we are doing our best to now ignore it and if it continues on like that when we are doing the right thing then MAYBE Dan can ban or restrict. Maybe Dan can delete the reported posts then or at least stockpile them away as evidence of feature ruffling.
And I guess at the same time, if Nick sees any posts he believes are designed to inflame in the Ed section or posts that are purely to antagonize him he can report and Dan can have a look at that.

The key would be not going trigger happy and being ridiculous, if Nick makes a post in the Ed section talking about a show, dates, reviews... Then obviously that's not report worthy. But anyways... What do people think! We just report and move on.

Haha either did I, I was going to make this thread suggesting we get a report button until I thought that I should probably check to see if there already is one, and hey, what do you know!

Yeah no probs man let's not look for solutions to the problem, that'll definitely work since it has so far! Did you even read what I wrote dude? It was an idea for a peaceful idea which would not distrupt the flow of the board, got a feeling you didn't..

When you press the Report button, the administration of the board receives a PM with the topic REPORT.

Now guess how many "reports" will Dan receive.

And now guess what, I really think that Dan reads ALL the posts on the board.

And now, one more thing. I know there is a solution. And I told you bout it. It is the only way out as it seems to me. At least it worked some time ago.

It did work some time ago but only for awhile, it's been trialed 3 times and failed each time, but hey im good for another shot.

I didn't know if worked that way, so yeah whatever, was just an idea at a peaceful, non board disruptive solution, feel free to delete the thread, Dan.

I just hope that with a lot of people laying off Ed, that he'll either quieten down or it'll either highlight him looking like a dick being the only one slinging shit. I haven't had a crack at Ed for weeks, and as much as I think he's a douche, I'm pretty over any cheap shots, I think that's the general feeling from a lot of people I've spoken to, not that they forgive him in any way, but just will not have any cracks. I think it's much easier to stop doing that then to stop arguing with Nick, but can only hope for a flow on effect.

That would be the right way to react, sadly I don't think that's what will happen, he will most likely continue on with posts such as the welcome back one he had for OTD... but yeah anyone reading that thread can see who the bigger man was and who the would be antagonist is... go OTD!!!

I guess that's it really, if we lay off Ed and really, really try to not engage him when he tries it, then eventually over time he's either got to give up, or if he doesn't, then I'd hope it would make an even stronger case for Dan as far as restriction or bannings go because it would be a clear line of divide then of who is here for what reasons and what their intentions are. As you say, full props to OTD for not engaging.
