Honestly, Wam's cover is better.

Honestly, my 4 year old nephew could have put together a better album cover than SFBM with Ed's sweaty bare back. It's no wonder SFBM was the turning point for Nick's obsession with Ed. Once he saw that cover... facepalm.gif

Why all the raggin' on the SFBM cover? At least it used the classic live font. I think V was the worst cover of all only seconded to BoP which I can't even remember off the top of my head. I think it was blue and had the bop symbol on it. Very bland, just like the album. SFBM's cover was very LIVE... you guys are just mad because it looked like a return to form and you were betrayed when you heard the whole album. lol.gif

It wasn't very Live, it was very Ed. It was Ed's back. Another Ed-centric move that marginalized the rest of the band.

I thought Wam was back on the booze! Sorry but that PS'ing is so unpro that it's not funny!

But I like the marching to the beat of their own drum bit someone mentioned. Is that what you had in mind Wam?

Exactly. This album cover marked the beginning of Ed's solo career and dismantling of Live.

Nice one Wam - good on you for choosing a Peter Howson painting, and a very fitting one at that thumbsup.gif

Would be cool if they used the original 'ecstatic fanatic' artwork for the next album:

V was the worst cover. SFBM was nice as a cover but came across as very lead vocalist syndromey, which we now know it was!

I liked the V cover other than the horribly distorted band image. The Live logo was classic, and having the song titles on the front cover was a cool and interesting move.

It's hit or miss, which is the story of that album for me.

What's everyone's favorite cover? TC is obviously the classic, but I always loved all of the art on TDTH.

If they ever called the album ecstatic fanatic I'd kick myself in the balls.

Agreed. TDTH is so detailed that It just ticks ahead of TC for me. TC has symbolism but I can't get lost in the details like I can in TDTH.

TDTH firsrt

SS second,

and V, well, just so ugly and rushed. Chad explained it well I think in the records diary.

I liked BOP's cover too. It catches your eye well.
