No... at this point I wouldn't go to one of his shows. I don't like his new music, and as far as I can tell from vids posted from recent shows, he butchers the old music. If he still sang they way he did back in the day, I would definitely go, but......

It sucks... . I'd love to see an Ed show. I'd even suffer through his band and his tank top (wtf, not a good look for him) to hear him sing... but not this Ed.

lol and I even specifically dared him to give me a legit reason which WASNT one of those things... He couldn't. He couldn't give me any reason as a fan of music, no musical reason why Live should reunite with Ed... All the more proof he just sees Live as a money making brand and is happier with EK making money than making music. This is a huge reason I can't stand the guy, music is probably my number 1 passion in life and he just spits all over it and sees it as a financial tool rather than art. If a painter paints a picture of a clock or something I can see Nick popping up "you should have done ducks, people like ducks, it'll bring more people into the gallery and if they like it then you should paint nothing but ducks for the rest of your life".

It is, and while the masses may come through the gallery once every 5-6yrs and marvel at the ducks and then go away, there is another smaller group who go to the gallery often, every week maybe and they're not so keen on the ducks, they liked the clocks, they wanted to see what he'd paint after the clocks because there were hints at some rhinos or sunflowers, but Nick would be adamant - "screw those people who come here often, keep painting ducks to keep the turn-styles rolling and the casual crowd coming in"

This is what I don't get, he cares more about the casual crowd and pleasing them who ironically in the grand scheme of things couldn't give a fuck about Ed/Live really, he's just another artist to them they heard on the radio, over fans who have poured their heart and soul into Live for years.

"Keep offering a free month to every new member we sign up!" "but what about the loyal people who have been members for 20yrs, do we get anything? "lol, no"


It's why Nick is so infuriating, he takes this thing that we all love - Live, and music in general, and reduces it to a business venture and a way of making money. I can't fathom how that brings HIM joy .. but it does. And he proved it when I asked him why he wants Live back together.
