LIVE
Superficial impermanence has always been at the core of the name Live. There is nothing fixed or permanent and our name reflects this simple truth. Our universe is a continuous becoming. Change or flux may be the only constant contained within. In no two moments has Live ever been the same, nor will it ever be. As much as I might want to console those of you who are in crisis from the realization that things change, there is no escaping the perishable nature of our lives. Especially those of a rock band – Chad Taylor

Seems CT took notice to all the shit stirrers yesterday heaping all the negativity on Shinn's Birthday wishes. Truly classless from the demigod following sheep of EK, truly tasteless. What CT has said is out of love and understanding and if the sheep can't see that they'll be following their leader of the cliffs edge.

They are still arguing on the guns n roses website about slash leaving and axl using the gnr name. Dont think this will change how people feel about the lead singer leaving Live.

ok fair point, but you see Axl is the asshole and slash and the rest are like CC&P. It all comes down to their articles of incorporation and how things are legally.

Ed will always be known as the former front man and his past contributions will be remembered. In my view of things (my acceptance of what Live is) was represented from 89-2001, I have no real overwhelming like for the body of work since except for 5-6 songs.

Thats fine, those folks can stop following. If they understood and really know how much of a dick Ed still continues to be, and yet they want him back to continue the same shity music with no collaboration? I just don't get that. It's ok to stop liking the band or accept the new direction. I don't know why they want status quo where the other 3 don't get to contribute or Ed rejects it. Ive said this ad nauseum. Why should I want to trust Ed? Look what he did with Believe/HM A real rock song and he came with 3rd grade churchy pussified garbage lyrics.

My views on things are not from a casual observer mode. Wrongs and misgivings have been done.
If Live is going to move forward with Chris, the name infringement thing unfortunately has to be dealt with for the business sake.

More from CT:

Some of my thoughts of the band are below but I must confess I have many more. Odd how many fans would prefer to have a generic Live or one that fits into the box that makes them feel most comfortable? My mission in life is to literally do the opposite. That’s right, fuck your comfort! I can’t stand the status quo so many are willing to defend. It cuts across ever grain of my being. When I dream of Live, I see the sparks that fuel life or the wide-open horizon as my car speeds through its desert. Not some dreary, sleepy, adult-contemporary version of safety rock (did I invent a new genre? I can see it now, the full-rock-band, He’s Alone Tour featuring the safety rock hits of yore. Opps, I just vomited in my own mouth). Hey, at least I’m laughing. Do you think Hilly Krystal at CBGB’s would have booked that tour? Would Joey Ramone, Deborah Harry, Mick Jones or Johnny Rotten have supported the safety rock version of Live? I can tell you for certain the answer would have been NO. Additionally, I won’t delete your posts or ban you from posting here as I actually like my fans regardless of the fact that they don’t always agree with me. You see that’s always been the difference. I actually wanted to be with you my entire life. It’s real and worth fighting for. It’s my authentic self that’s here with you. With love….

See, this is what C&C&P don't want...old status quo and return to the safety of the 2000s.

So Ed can have his mini me and the fembots try to clamor for Ed to be the end all be all....no Ed no Live.

The founding fathers have a place for you.......If you want it, come to the show. If you don't, Lounge chairs are comfortable.

If CT is referring to those who occupy this board, I'd say a vast majority of us can't wait for change - no consolation needed here. Ed, Nick and their minions may need some consoling. I'm totally down with Shinn, I'm totally down with CCP taking control and I'll be totally down for that new thunder they are going to throw our way. UMMMM, now that's some good change! CT, this board's got your back.

CT needs to quit reading his facebook crap and spend more time here, where real LIVE fans reside. It seems all the Ed lovers have coalesced and descended on his facebook page. Is that what is going on? I don't have Facebook and am glad I don't. Maybe one of you F-bookers can comment.
