Again, he lives in a fantasy land 24/7. Life is gift wrapped for him. Ed's got himself the perfect yes man.

I really think Nick is trying to break through and break away from the hold of Ed. I mean, he has all he wants (he has said so) with Ed and his acoustic shows and he wants to be "counted out" from Live, so he has zero reason to be here. Zero.

Yet here he is, taking a beating all day long. Subjecting himself to all these facts about the lawsuit, the decline of Live once Ed had control, the lengthy and thought out opinions by many here (Nick throws out one sentence arguments if any at all), and so, so much more.

Keep fighting, Nick. One day Ed's music will be bad enough it will set you free.

“I don’t take any of that seriously,” said Kowalczyk, referring to reports of discontent. “I mean, the fans obviously are interested and deserve some sort of reunion with the four original members. And I’m still working for that.”

The latest promotion for his Green Bay show and "I Alone' tour suggests otherwise.

This is what I don't get ... Ed is all "I" "I" "I" which would lead one to believe that in his mind, he doesn't need CCP. Nick has stated he is perfectly happy with Ed solo, he gets all the Live hits he wants ... so why are both Ed and Nick happy with the idea of a Live reunion now? Simple - money. It's just fucking sad. If both are so adamant that Ed is the big star and the one who drove the ship then surely to both of them the ONLY thing Ed can gain by going back to Live is being able to use the name Live which makes more money. So when it boils down to it, a 4 letter word is worth more than Ed Kowalczyk as a person, as a solo artist. It's seriously really sad.

If, during his solo run Ed had been giving credit where credit is due to CCP and actually calling them by name and using the correct "we" instead of "I" then a statement like this I could understand because you'd have been able to trace all along that Ed see's the value in his former bandmates, that he see's the value in their partnership ... but according to Ed for the past few years it was always about him, so why go back? Once again, it's about money.

Oh no, wait its "giving the fans what they want!" ... please. He has said many times that the fans are so into his new solo gig and they're saying to him "oh you got the same passion back as you did in the 90s!" bla bla bla, then how can a Live reunion be "for the fans" if apparently they're all really happy with his solo move?

It just stinks, and Ed Kowalczyk is a dirty man.

I'm just talking about his PR. I went to comment a few times and couldn't even compose myself to put down my thoughts. In a word, his tactics are absurd.

This is what I have been saying for years. If Ed's solo act is the new Live, then why doesn't he have bigger crowds, play bigger venues? It's simply because he's 1/4 of LIVE.

There is a fine line what old rooted fans will go see. I am betting they'll want to see Shinn over Fast Eddie in the current state he's in. Then there is the quality over quantity factor.

1. I would take the lawsuits seriously if I was Ed. And I think Ed takes it seriously too, which means that the whole last quote is shrouded in bull shit from the very first clause.

2. I would rather have Chris Shinn in Live, or even no Live at all, than to have Ed return to Live and see the band make music like BoP, SFBM or Alive. I think CCP feel the same way. And Ed can't change. He is incapable of making music like TGF or what this new Live music seems to be. He isn't able to do it. It's over.

3. I've said it before and I will say it again - I don't like any talk of the door being open for Live. If Shinn is in, then that's that. Next chapter started. No looking back. I don't want this to be a temporary experiment.

4. I wouldn't trust Ed farther than I can throw him. If he thinks that he will be stuck singing old Live tunes billed simply as Ed Kowalczyk for the rest of his life, he will do ANYTHING to make a bigger business out of himself than that. He will push for control and more compensation. He will want to do his solo acoustic shows using Live's name again.

Here is the only way I would want Ed back in Live.

-Chris Shinn would have to leave the band on his own, or get thrown out due to legitimate reasons.
-Ed has to physically crawl back on his hands and knees, crying and apologizing to Chad, Chad, Patrick, their families, and all fans of Live in the world.
-Ed must reimburse CCP for the stolen money and unpaid royalties.
-He must split everything 1/4 with CCP.
-Ed must only participate as a collaboration with CCP and has to cede all final creative decisions over to CCP.
-He must publicly renounce his Christianity and become a spiritually-lost seeker.
-He must move back to York.
-He must give up all of his material possessoins.
-He must stop being so happy with his family.
-He must admit that he never liked Songe Bob and the Ugly Doll and any of that cutsie child-like stuff that he has gushed about.
-He must swear off coffee and stop drawing stick figures and charging fans for phone calls.
-He must take down his website and shut down his Twitter account and Facebook account.
-He must delete that rendition of Silent Night from You Tube like he did of the embarassing Kings of Leon song.
-He must disassociate himself with Nick and publicly rebuke Nick.
-He can never do the same show or setlist twice.
-He must stop gesturing and dancing and stripping at concerts.
-He cannot crack another smile at any concerts.
-He can never use the words LOL or rawk in a sentence ever again.
-He must come to this website and post a real apology to each and every one of us who he has disapointed and vow to be like his old self.

Then, and only then, would I even consider it. The first point about Chris Shinn is a pre-requisite for any of the other stuff. Chris Shinn is our guy now. But if he isn't some day, then those are my terms.

Ed isn't LIVE. He is touring as Ed Kowalczyk of LIVE. Any lead singer touring without his band or (without his band name) doesn't draw as well as he did with the band. Do you honestly think LIVE will draw as well without Ed in the long term?

Well enough to carry on what Live is all about. Probably not if Ed came back. I think many will feign a full reunion with Ed for many many reasons!! If Ed came back without changing and giving back (many of fish's list), I don't think I could go either.

Who cares about the long term. You simply go back to basing it on crowds, it never was about the music with you so you can fuck off.

RIght now Ed is hell bent on exploiting what Live stands for.

So maybe CCP should tour as "3/4's of LIVE"?
