QUOTE(OutToDry @ Aug 1 2012, 10:15 pm) *

the final solution would be for you to disappear permanently. You with these fashionablel news articles. His admission is simply a ploy. Reunion for what? To make Ed a martyr? Please spare me the horseshit!! He's on the ledge now.

Can you believe these guys?

Ed is pathetic and Nick is even worse - verging on a mini-me is probably the closest comparison.

Nick - Fuck off.
Ed - We don't want or need you back.

It definitely reeks of trying to undermine Live. Funny how if they reunited for a TC tour Nick is fine with that, all the shit he's flung at CCP wouldn't matter anymore because Ed can do no wrong and must be followed. Whereas IF Ed went back and the dynamics of SFBM returned then I can see a lot of the people here, me included, tuning out and sticking with our beliefs. To me it just goes to show where people's hearts lie - with the music, or with the image of a band.

I really don't want Ed back because at this stage I don't think he could recapture what he had even if he wanted to, his retun might spark a mini revival in mainstream press but at what cost?

That's a bit stupid, Ed.
You weren't responding when CCP wanted to reunite with Live.
Now Live has Chris Shinn, you're not needed anymore.

This doesn't make sense. According to the setlist, how he bills himself, and what Nick calls "no noticeable drop-offs" make EVERY Ed solo show a Live reunion show.

Ed threated CCP like dogs. The Live fans doesn't need a reunion. We have Chris, and can continue his solo career. Everyone happy.

QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Aug 1 2012, 1:14 am) *

Kowalczyk said he left Live in 2009 because he needed a creative spark. But the band has not been pleased. Just last week, Live, which has a new singer, filed a lawsuit, trying to prevent Kowalczyk from using the Live name.

“I don’t take any of that seriously,” said Kowalczyk, referring to reports of discontent. “I mean, the fans obviously are interested and deserve some sort of reunion with the four original members. And I’m still working for that.”

W-W-W-What?!?! That is the strangest Live-related piece of information that I have seen in a very long time. I have no idea what to make of that statement.

It just goes to show that he'll say anything to make himself look good and will do anything to make a quick buck

LOL.

Nick wanted to be "counted out" and Ed wanted to "move on", yet here they both are wanting a Live reunion?

it's the spoiled kid mentality!!!

Ed's always wanted his cake and to eat it too. He's gotten to do both, at the expense of friends, family and others. When folks call him on his act, he starts to spin into his "I" "I" "I" routine. When wise men decide to make things right and move on, the spoiled kid usually feels a victim and is left out and makes it known in his own way.

Of course it takes ed's mini-me to be the laison of spin!!

What doesn't Ed take seriously exactly? That whole section is very poorly written.

Also please God no.

I wanted to be counted out of a version of LIVE with a new lead singer. I always said that having Ed perform solo acoustic coupled with full band LIVE shows is the best option.

Ed never closed the door to a LIVE reunion. Neither did CCP. Didn't Chad Taylor say that the door is always open for Ed to return? Or was he just being manipulative as well?

You act as though once it hits 2014 they are just going to call each other like nothing happened and get back together. Doesn't work that way. You (and Ed apparently) need to accept that Live has moved on without him. Something I'm sure neither of you expected.

You're not one who takes facts and digests them well, so you'll never know.

I know this, returning has many concessions attached to it. I would bet dollars to donuts, Ed would simply continue using the Live mark to exploit then wanting to give back control and return to the 100% collaboration of the roots of Live. He's changed way too much, the other 3 not so much at all. So why would any long time fans of the band want to return to SFBM and the years leading up to it? We're all at odds over the direction, music quality and collaboration of what Live really is. We have the new Ed centric fan and those who long for total collaboration.

Shinn will give the fans this in perpetuity. He is a big fan of Live way before every being asked to join. He gets it (and happy birthday to him)!!!

New Live music has been made and Ed wants to interject his control again.
