Does anyone have this (either the clear or white versions)? If so, which version do you have and how is the sound?

Thanks.

I have all three pressings (finally found a black, German pressing, & it's on the way!). I've only listened to the white so far, but it sounds great.

I wish I had a good record player to play vinyl on. I'd buy more vinyl if I did.

I don't have SS on vinyl, but I do have the vinyl of Lakini's Juice with the Sippin' remix.

I have the white vinyl and it sounds sensational - very warm and atmospheric.

There's actually a vinyl FLAC rip of Secret Samadhi and Throwing Copper on demonoid thumbsup.gif

Those have been floating around for a while. I think at the time, the person who made those had a low-end setup. I have listened to both. The Samadhi FLAC files aren't really an improvement over the CD (I think he captured at 44.1 khz).

It comes down to your hardware. If you have a good setup, the vinyl sounds way better. It was mastered really well. Very clean, and warm as ridley mentioned. Don't expect to get great sound out of a crap turntable (for the love of all things holy, don't buy one of those crappy Crosleys) and cheap speakers.

Have compared it to the CD and the vinyl is most definitely an improvement. A more warmer, crispier sound. The band is amazing on SS.

LIVE at their best.

I have the 2LP white vinyl by the way.

finally got my german press in the mail the other day. Haven't had a chance to spin it yet (or the coke bottle version for that matter). The white is definitely the heaviest of the three, and the coke bottle is thinner than the other two. I don't normally collect variants, but I'm glad to have all three now of my favorite album smile.gif

Your image of the Secret Samadhi vinyls didn't work for me. I have re-uploaded it to an alternative site. Here's the pic:
