I apologize if this is a redundant topic, but does anyone else think that Live should release a “live” album? I know it wouldn’t quite capture the energy of a concert performance, but I tend to slightly prefer Ed’s raw vocal quality and his improvised stylings over the recorded, rehearsed, remastered stuff you get on their studio albums...Plus, the band just plain sounds KICK @SS in concert. Thoughts?

I think so. I heard a live Live song on the radio a year or so ago, and I was even more impressed with Ed's voice... very controlled. It was cool. They really should do an entire album... although I'm sure stuff is out there if you look for it, I'm just not the type to go download bootleg because I never got into that whole scene. wink.gif

I have a bunch of live Live cd's. There are a lot of great quality DL out there. I really don't think they need to produce one. Unless they would produce the MTV unplugged show. That would be nice to have professionally done.

Eh, I just go to bootlegheaven to get live songs. That way I can pick the songs that I want to hear live and avoid the songs that they would put on a CD. Like The River (Gag me) and Sofia (Well, Sofia is good live)

What I really would want is a 'live' Live DVD (aside from Unplugged).

You guys are cracked if you think that in the event the band made a live album, they'd put one out of a TV appearance they did 15 years ago or whatever it was. That might be what you want to see, but its doubtful.

Its wishful thinking....have you ever heard the MTV unplugged? Believe me, it would probably sell more than what you might think.

I have it on CD and its amazing. I don't care how unproduced it is.

course you can always download video of concerts from bootleg heaven. i made dvds from shows from the BOP & TDTH tours. they are quite good, actually. thumbsup.gif

Yeah, I got some stuff here in my pc too, I haven't compiled anything though.
I converted the Unplugged to DVD by the way.

Thanks for the idea though. thumbsup.gif

I have a CD of it too, its great. Its probably my second favorite Unplugged, after Pearl Jam.

However, I am confident that if the band considers making a live Live album, they are not going to be like "hey, we already taped a live show 12 years ago, lets just use that one".

I'm sure as fans that might be what people want. But its probably the last thing on the band's mind.
