I've never watched Batman but he does resemble Heath in looks a little. What a strange guy. I wonder if he still has a career in the entertainment industry?

Funnier to me is that this was an Australian show. My mum watched the Don Lane show when I was a little kid. He was very well known to Aussies. He died a few years ago. Very sad.

I'd never heard of Don Lane. It's funny he was from the states and he was a big success is Australia.

Rent The Dark Knight and pay attention to The Joker's tone of voice and mannerisms. Or just look up videos of the Joker on YouTube.

That's why I prefer hard copies of movies, or at least have stuff stored on my own hard drive that I can access on my own little network. I don't have to worry a thing about all the other people out there trying to watch their shit at the same time.

Hope you get to eventually watch it, although you should probably watch Batman Begins first. lol

Tom Waits? Yeah he's still making music, good music too.

Here's his latest, Bad As Me....

This is one of his more well known songs, Going Out West...

Yeah Waits is a pretty big name in music in a lot of circles, I'm a big fan of his but never got to see him live sad.gif I didn't know CS was a fan though that's pretty cool! I know Adam Taylor was when he said here that he named his band the Rain Dogs after a Waits song.

But is this confirmed that Ledger used Waits as an influence? The similarities in some mannerisms and voice is undeniable but wondering if it's speculation or confirmed?

Oddly enough Tom Hardy said that Bartley Gorman, one of the best ever bare knuckle boxers, an Irish Gypsy was the main influence behind Bane's voice and part of the character .. I can see it in a couple of the things he says but it's not as clear as the Waits video!

Haha even if he hasn't the damage is done... But then again it's helped fuel that distinctive voice!

Just the other night I fell asleep with my headphonss in... Waking up at 4am groggy, tired, in the dark, confused and with Tom Waits' version of the 7 dwarves song "Heigh-Ho" playing is a totally surreal experience drugs can't replicate haha.

Not sure what my favorite Waits song is though, there's so many.. God's Away on Business, Singapore, Make It Rain, Tango Till They're Sore, Chocolate Jesus, Down In The Hole, Going Out West... All so good.. Probably Make It Rain though, some of the live versions of that are crazy.
