I'd say it's probably fine to try and prod for, at least, information on what the status is. They said there'd be some rare material / tracks on offer upon launch which got our appetites right up, so I don't think we'd be out of order enquiring about it. Maybe a gentle push through a virtual, mutual acquaintance the majority of us share with CCP.

God, just fuck off already. The fact that there are disagreements between members in this thread (example - I disagree with OTD here) or not, the common bond is that we all WANT the songs - you don't even want that, so why don't you take your own advice from years ago and leave the board of a band you no longer like? Or does OTD have to dig up your old posts from the past where you are completely contradicting yourself again?

I am discussing my opinion that I can wait until they're ready to give the fanbase a song. There are reasons for not getting a song yet.

I like the new music. I like the old music. I don't feel there has been a drop in quality whatsoever. I like the direction the band is going in, and think the new songs are really amazing. The lyrics are powerful and the songs are catchy and just fun to listen to. So to say I don't care about quality is just plain false.

I was thinking it over and I am both a new and old LIVE fan. The last cassette I ever purchased was Throwing Copper, and since then LIVE has been my favorite band. However it went to a new level after I saw the band in concert the second time in 2001 at the Trump Taj Mahal. As for SOY, I guess I could have my girlfriend register and use your password to access. I'm an awful sneak and terrible liar though. I am not confident in that regard.

I still think that with all the promoting they did of this special track and the competition a little note about it's whereabouts would be nice, even if it is delayed further - that's fine, I'm sure they have their reasons. But right now it seems more like they either forgot about it, or don't care to follow through etc... Hell even if they did forget about it, that's fine, but communication is the key, otherwise, don't make a big deal of it beforehand. I'm more than happy to wait longer but I guess for me it's more a "principal" of the thing. To me sweeping stuff under the rug is Ed K style, and the more Live can move away from doing anything the Ed K way, the better in my book.

As for the quoted stuff there OTD. It's sad isn't it that SJN's words have bitten him on the ass here and he refuses to acknowledge it or take his own advice. I'm sure he'll come up with some reason as to why this now doesn't apply to him but who's he fooling. No one wants him here.

Truth is that Shinn's voice has much more life to it than Ed's. Ed can't sing those songs like Shinn.
