Ed's no longer on the articles of incorporation of "Live" for almost a year now.

So how is that remotely worth 2 million dollars?

Ed Kowalczyk
original lead singer of live

Same effect. As long as he has access to LIVE's song catalog, he'll be fine.

it's not even .01% of what they've grossed over their lifetime. I am sure they didn't pull it out of thin air.

who knows, he has access to pusblishing rights and royalties. Perhaps all this continued back stabbing may change that eventually. And if it ever goes that route, what a sad sad thing. People need to look in the mirror at some point in their life.

For starters, the difference between what Ed made promoting himself with the Live trademark and the suggestion that he is still in the band (actually two different issues) and what he would have made if he was billed simply as Ed Kowalczyk + the diminution of the value of the trademark caused by Ed's improper use of the trademark (which would include the past, present and future impact of that diminution). One small example: might the relaunch of the band with Chris Shinn have been harmed by the confusion that Ed created about the composition of the band in all of those markets in which he appeared? I think you get realistically get to $2 million and I am sure that United Action's counsel didn't just pull that number out of their arses.

Did you just admit that Ed's songs are crap? In a roundabout way, you did...

Ed has played roughly 10 shows since last summer. I am pretty sure that he made no where near 2 million for his touring. It is a ridiculous amount of money to be suing for.

No I really like Ed's music, but the LIVE songs are the ones that the general public are most familar with.

He won't admit it directly but he knows they are. Ed's solo material can't hold their own weight so he has to rely on sad and different versions of Live songs.

Which, if he is billing himself as Live, and is changing the Live songs, that can also hurt the real Live.

Good luck proving that in the court of law. Can Ed counter sue that Chris Shinn forgetting lyrics and having no stage presence is hurting LIVE's brand?

Of course he did, Nick really is only a mouthpiece and a promoter. See Ed McMahon and Eric Bischoff!!!

He really doesn't like that music, just to promote a cause.
