This kid was on the Today show today drumming to the Foo Fighters - The Pretender. Completely self taught, no lessons. Hopefully there's not a Behind the Music on him by the time he's 10. rockin.gif

And I think I'd rather listen to any of these over Ramy!

I always loved this clip, shows the changes of a kid learning to drum from age 2 over the next 9 years. It starts off a little ho-hum but by the end, jesus the kid is good.

Always good to see kids playing instruments. Saying that, the kid in the first video has nothing on many other kids at those ages. Tony Royster Jr being one of those. It begs the question though: wtf are they putting in their cereal bowls? lol.gif these kids are becoming insanely good younger and younger.

I'd hazard a guess that the actual answer to that would be really disturbing. Even if you have it on drums, you still have to put in a ton of work, more work than I would have put in on my own as a 5 year old that's for sure.

Unlike with other instruments, being able to play crazy stuff on drums isn't as much of a sign of talent as we'd all like to think. Will these kids be able to come up with something interesting on their own, or just copy other people? Who knows.

Also, I'm half the drummer that I was at 14 when it comes to crazy technical stuff. I miss those days. sad.gif
