, I can't help but think of the good old Kevin Nash fan club: http://www.kevinnash.net/images2004/fanclubdinner/

Making fun of middle aged women and men the day after you said how accepting this board is.

Phew! LUCKILY! Yeah it's lucky they're viewed by the masses as a one his wonder band!
And really that's what the most important thing is isn't it, what the masses think! I could be sitting there really getting into the new album but then remember the masses might not like it and suddenly I might stop liking it!!

I didn't bring up damaging LIVE's legacy that was OTD. I'm just happy that Ed has been active touring and making music.

QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Jul 18 2012, 5:29 am) *

They asked him and Ed said no(or didn't want to meet regarding the subject). Chad Taylor and yourself have said so numerous times.

You don't think the conversation would have been more along the lines of:

CT: Hey Ed man, maybe we should start putting shit behind us, we've been through too much. Do you want to come back to Live? We would love to have you back but for it to work we need to work like we used to, we need to write as a unit, if you think you can do that then we'd love to make another go of it, what do you say?

It would not have been begging Ed to come back and you can NOT say that it is because you base that on absolutely NOTHING. CT has said he talked to Ed about coming back, it is only in your mind that seem to formulate some kind of begging scenario about money. Realistically after everything CT said about how he felt the creativity had been smothered out of him, and then rediscovering it again with TGF, do you REALLY think he would have begged Ed to come back to work under the SFBM conditions, would CG as outspoken as he was against Ed have been willing to put up with that? I just can NOT see that happening.

I got no doubt they reached out to Ed about coming back, but I got no doubt they would have laid their terms out for a reunion. Whether Ed turned them down because he wants full creative control or whether he was hurt by some of the things they said (probably a combination of both) we don't know, but we know he wanted no part of it. But get a grip if you think they begged him to come back.

Who's making fun of them? I'm making fun of Kevin Nash. I'm going to be one of the middle aged one day, it's inevitable, that's not the point. Jesus you love toting the politically correct horn don't you. We've been over this, there is nothing wrong with them, but marketing yourself as a rock band to that sort of crowd which Ed is doing, how is that capturing what Live was? That crowd like the type of music that Ed does, he has found his little audience and if he keeps on making Alive 2, 3, 4 and 5 for them that's fine. But it's the fact he's altered all the Live music to sound like that stuff is just as damaging as anything else because that is not the sound of Live.

And no you're not just happy with that because you can't shut the fuck up about Live. If you were just happy with that you'd piss off from this board and go and be happy, but you're not, you're bitter.

Call me when Ed plays 90% of a show with all his solo tunes and 10% Live standards.

Eventually all solo artists fill out their tours with new material when they are touring as a solo act. Ed tried this for one year and went all comfortable into a greatest hits tour when TGF was about to tour, then the Live thing came around with Chris. TGF was a springboard to rediscover the orginal organic roots of Live, the music, the process, the feelings. Not about $$.

When Ed did that stick figure drawing ... does anyone really believe he sat back and went "wow this is really, really good! I think people would actually like to pay money to have this!" or was it more "lol I bet I can get people to actually pay money for this". One is as bad as the other, if he actually thinks its worth money then he is fucking demented and proves he has lost the plot creatively. If it was the latter, then it just proves he is a money hungry greedy man, which is exactly why Nick loves him because to Nick nothing is more important than the all might dollar, the masses and what they do with their money, ticket sales, album charting etc...

why do you think when that lawsuit was submitted they also went after the Mgr? He assisted in the promotion of Ed over the rest. This includes these grand schemes you see in Ed's store.

Many of the items in Ed's store were a direct take from the Live store, sans the pendant and stick figure, coffee and $250 Phone call. Ed stole the mail list to promote selling of the bootlegs and the lack of royalty payments.
