SJN1279 mentioned the possibilty of this date a few weeks back but nothing has been listed on Ed's Facebook site. But the show is being promoted for July 14 and Ed is mentioned on the Roverfest 2012 website so I'm going to assume that it's legit.

Roverfest 2012

Good quality sound and recording. Song was ho hum/ retains much of the Alive sound. There was one notable part though. The way he finished the song was a change. He's never done a false ending to a song before. Nice touch but not enough to redeem the whole song. Ed fans, get in here and weigh in.

He's so ABC these days it's a shame. The whole get up of the clothes, the stage actions... he's so different, and not in a good way. sad.gif That said, I've heard his voice sound worse than this, and I think this song is better than some stuff on Alive so *shrug* I don't know.

The part of the song from about 40 seconds in till about 48 seconds is a direct rip off from a song that I can't think of right now! Entirely unoriginal.

Actually they were very into LIVE songs that they knew(my friend who posted the video sent me a report). New material rarely gets a strong reaction at a festival, and judging from the 15 second clip, I think 2.0 will find the same reaction when they tour.

I actually really like the song. I think it is one of the better songs that Ed has ever done and look forward to hearing it later this week.

Here is the review:

Another awesome Ed K. concert in Cleveland, OH! Really enjoyed the set he played. He performed everything except "Grace", most likely because they started a bit late & had to cut a song. I was worried it would be a tough crowd (there were thousands there) but the crowd was really receptive to Ed's performance. He was highly energetic as usual & running/dancing all over stage. Opening with "Lakini's Juice" was a smart choice, especially for those who might not have recognized who Ed was at first. The crowd really got into the music & in talking to those around me, they loved Ed. This is one of my favorite sets that he has played. Good mix of old & new. "I Am the Proof" was an amazing performance live & really sets the bar for his next EP. I stuck around after the show to talk to Ed & he is enjoying the tour & looking forward to the rest of it!

THey certainly didn't care for his solo material. Plus he being on that bill didnt fit. Jayda stated that some of it sounds like a rip off of another artist.

I think you;ll find that millions hated what Ed turned the band into and a lot of them will come back and be receptive to real LIVE music again.

It doesn't matter anyway, your voice carries zero weight.

None of the artists fit together on that bill(Vanilla Ice, Ed, and Theory of a Deadman). 80's, 90's, and today. All decades were represented.

What I heard from the clip doesn't sound like LIVE in any era.

Really, i hear MJ and TDTH influences in the music. We know you have issues with real music anyway.

I hear more of a classic rock influence in the clip than LIVE. It reminds me more of TGF.
