Yep, Ed's milkshake brings all the girls to the yard and it's like....he definitely charges! I'm so sorry for that.

IPB Image you, Indy!

See I still don't get why Ed's music is housewife music. Lots of different people like that shit. I reckon it's just Christian pop.

Yep Pokey, we have shit house radio stations.

I didn't even know Gold played LIVE! I do hear it on Triple M sometimes. Unfortunately my car stereo doesn't have a plug for my ipod. I hate those other things that tune into a radio frequency or WTF ever they do. I'm like one of those guys with the tv remotes that switches stations all the time. Or plays the same cd over and over again coz I'm too lazy to change it.

You know those crazy girls that get pissed on 3 glasses of wine - yeah, I know a few but unfortunately for every one of them I know 10 guys that are alcoholics and they are no fun either usually unless they are happy drunks but then they are just as annoying as those cheap shout chicks.

I get defensive coz I'm sick of guys putting women down. Any women. Happens all the time. No matter what the age. They either sexually objectify them or they are old bags with hanging tits. Can't win really!

mattyeagles, you are right. Look who goes to AC/DC shows! You could never put it down to middle aged women, retired rawking men, teenagers or whatever! I personally noticed the same thing at LIVE and Ed shows. What really surprised me about the LIVE show were the number of families going in!

Possibly could have been the same outcome at Ed's solo shows if they weren't over 18's only.

Pokey, I liked Ed's shirt OFF!!!! Only when he waxes his chest though. Too hairy for me otherwise tongue.gif And I wasn't screaming at him.

Possum he wasn't gyrating when I saw him with his shirt off. I think he was stoned or something. Genuinely hot (as in sweaty hot....). Hell, my hubby takes his shirt off all the freakin time. I like that as well.

Merica, there is no way the crowds were Momsy. He obviously has his following of middle aged women but I don't think they dominate.

Why yes Fish, I'm a weight pumper. Phew, all is good then yay.gif So back in business on this board!!!!!!

Actually my hubby would take a zumba class for a perv I think.

QUOTE(+Ed+ @ Jul 11 2012, 4:34 am) *

But you'd feel perfectly well if you found youself in a crowd of momsies taking their shirts off??

lol.gif Especially Stacy's mom I reckon!

Anyway, I'm talked out.

I don't subscribe to this at all. There is no natural law that states that as you age you have to begin to like soft rock or adult contemporary or whatever you want to call it. It's not as if Live was hard core punk or death metal. It may help to be youthful to appreciate Live's early music but you don't have to be a 20 something punk to appreciate good alternative rock music with a message. If anything, their music was complex enough that it appealed to even older fans back then.

I just don't get this theory that sees former rock music fans turning into aging fuddy duddies that would be more at place at the Dave Matthews Band show on the lawn with their picnic baskets and their goodies from Whole Foods. I can appreciate that but I'd prefer a good ass kicking rock show in a dingy club with some cheap draft beers followed by late night run to a greasy spoon resulting in a splitting headache and ringing ears the next morning. That's when I know I've seen a great rock show. In fact, I had one of those experiences not too long ago and I was talking about it for weeks. Doubt I'd have much to reminisce about from the EK experience.

We're not former rock music fans. Some people, myself included, have simply broadened our musical tastes over the years. I'm even starting to like country music.

And I guess I've just turned into an old fuddy-duddy, because a show on the lawn (or a table at Chastain Park if you know Atlanta) with a picnic basket and goodies from Whole Foods would be a wonderful concert experience. No DMB for me though, please.. I had my dingy club experience in years past. Will put up with it if necessary, but it doesnt mean that I wouldnt rather see a show in a more relaxed, up-scale environment (air conditioning, no smoking, clean restrooms, good drink/food, etc.).

Yeah, if you're going to see Yanni. Can't really experience the CT stomp when you are sitting in the lawn enjoying your picnic. Give me a LIVE show at a club like the 9:30 club in DC. Too bad CBGB's is defunct. It would be incredible to see Live there. Wish I could make the trek to The Chameleon sometime.

When they come back to ATL, I'll be there, dont care where they play. Here's one old-farts' request for a non-smoking venue at least. Or outdoor, preferably not in the summer heat... ;-)

Just as long as it isn't too hot outside. People don't go to shows when it is hot...or so I have heard.

He's going to have to contend with all of the weather elements when he's booking the "I Alone (On the Street Corner)" tour. hehe.gif

Well that's why no one was at the show. Ed doesn't appeal to males under the age of 44.
