Nothing wrong with the older ladies that's for sure. Although it did became a bit uncomfortable for me to enjoy watching Ed prance around the stage gyrating with his shirt off. Concerts towards the end of Live were hard to stomach . Different strokes for different folks...

maybe instead of a wolf it was a care bear that ate Ed???

on the flip side one could argue that he is a happier person now...

Nothing really wrong with his audience as people, obviously. But it's not really cool. I'd feel ridiculously embarrassed being in the middle of a Momsy crowd screaming after a few bevvies at shirtless Ed.

90 percent of LIVE fans are in the 30-55 range. We are not cool. smile.gif

I think that is the perfect way to make the point that has been argued here. There is obviously nothing wrong with the middle-aged ladies, but some guys might think it is just not "cool" as a guy to be seen as a part of that crowd. Some guy fans of Live who like rock music do not want to see themselves identified with a crowd of soccer moms at a concert (even if they are attractive and cool) any more than they would want to see themselves as members of the cheerleading squad at college, or a member of an all-female knitting club, or walking into the Zumba class at the YMCA. But if the soccer MILF's would like to pump iron in the weight room at the gym, then that would be perfectly fine. I think that the ladies on this message board are pumping iron in the weight room. The flocks of ladies on Ed's Facebook page are taking a Zumba class where Ed is in the front of the room "shaking his money maker". The guys in the weight room would never want to be found dead in the Zumba class. Nick is the guy standing in the middle of the weight room shouting crazy stuff about how he prefers the Zumba Class and thinks the Zumba instructor can bench press more than the powerlifters.

Wow - I just got weird there, didn't I?

Sometimes you guys put it in a derogatory way.

And remember I told you about my sister's fucked off his face boyfriend that was there that night (Ed's first solo)? He attracted way more attention than any woman. Even Ed gave him a few nervous side looks.

Guess Pokey's looking at the chicks and I'm looking at the guys lol.gif

Still say there were more middle aged guys at these shows.... tongue.gif

It sure likes that in the videos posted from bospop...tons of guys in the audience.

And I like the fifth picture you posted OTD. Say what you will he has an infectious smile.

QUOTE(Pokey @ Jul 10 2012, 8:03 am) *

It's not really derogatory if it's just describing the way people are, you just look closer and see that type of people. I noticed here the girls of say 30+ seem to get quite defensive on stuff like this, for the record I don't think anyone here is lumping you in with the people we're talking about, you're mega fans through thick and thin, you're like the exception to the rule. The ones that are mostly talked about here are the ones that come for LC and haven't got a clue what this song called "the distance" is (must be a new one!)
As a casual fan base, Ed seems to attract that middle aged woman demographic quite well, the music is safe and pretends to rock out, but doesn't really, just what they want!

Actually, I've always had a problem with derogatory generalizations. smile.gif Even when I wasn't over 30!
And even when they're not directed at me.

It was a festival crowd and I am guessing that aside from the ladies from www.edkcommunity.nl most people in that crowd weren't there solely for "the EK".
