Definitely go see them live. I enjoy the CD, but to me these songs are just meant to be played and heard live.

I'd be interested to hear how you define "soaring" in regards to vocals.

I like the album and I did see them live in a small venue.

The show was fun, but you could not make out half of the words Kevin was singing (and I knew the words). Everything was one large jumbled sound that just blasted out your eardrums. My friend that came along couldn't understand anything tha either of the bands sang.

They were way to loud for the small venue they were in and it definately is something that needs to be adjusted next time to make the concert more enjoyable.

I seem to remember you saying that particular venue was horrible for acoustics. No?

It was like being in a small room with Amps build for a Arena. Just way to much sound for the venue.

I took my sweet time before revisiting 'live' world, after digging myself deep into the world of post-rock. Honestly, I only listened to the whole album a couple of days ago.

So.. I liked a lot what I've heard, I won't say it's a Live rip-off (because it's not, and it sounds original to my ears), but I can't help but think if this is what Live would've became, have things went the other way after TDTH.

This is a reaction that I think most of us had when TGF came out. The feelings were probably even more raw then because it was closer in time to all of the fall out of the band breaking up and Ed's release of Alive. You had the information about the inner workings of the band being released, Ed's betrayal, his Chirstian media interviews, the pathetic Alive cd, and then TGF comes out and I was like - holy !@#$%^&*!!!!!! This is what these guys had bottled up and this is what they could have been working with Ed on in Live?!?!

Spinning some tracks now. Anybody who voted 'it sucks' is an idiot. Plain and simple, there's no room for debate or discussion. It's a solid CD full of substance and integrity. It's mind-blowingly mental to think that whilst CCP dropped this Ed brought out Alive. The difference in quality is beyond astounding. Near unfathomable, even.

Right on Merica. This is one of my top 5 headphone albums. You can hear all the "stuff". It's not "cleanly shaven" like BOP. It sounds like it's on vinyl. I actually heard feedback. God, I love feedback.

The feedback and rawness is what makes it great.

There are beefed up versions which may come out too, plus what's in the can

Spun my copy of TGF on vinyl yesterday, both LP's from start to finish...and WOW!

If a 2nd career in LIVE doesn't work out, they've got it sorted with TGF.

This record is really growing on me by every listen. Always liked it, but it's now in the Top-10 of my favorite albums ever i think. Can't wait for the next TGF record.

I am giving my last CD away today that has been sitting in my glove compartment since the record came out. Sitting in traffic I put it on because it was fresh on my mind.

GOD, I miss this band!! I sincerely think I love this record more than any Live or Candlebox record combined.

Hoping they have time by year end to get into the studio again.
