"Ed Kowalcyzk" by itself is not recognizable as a brand outside of the Live name. This is why he has to phrase his listings this way. He knows it and all of us know it. I hate to say it but if he didn't do it this way, no one would go to the shows.

At the end of the day, it is still false-advertising and helps perpetuates his reputation and image among Live fans as a money grubbing, stealing from your friends dbag though.

The way Ed bills himself doesn't effect LIVE 2.0 at all, especially since LIVE 2.0 aren't active in the public eye at all. CCP and their fans should concentrate about getting LIVE 2.0 off the ground, and stop worrying about Ed's ever move.

I guess that's why Live's had 7000 new likes to FB since the March 12 show. (Ed's got 1.5k since then)

Which is why this whole Eddie K solo thing has been an epic fail thus far on every level. If he had made a drastic departure stylistically from Live then at least it could possibly be a success artistically, maybe even commercially. Right now, everything he is doing is based on what he did in Live. He even compared Alive to Throwing Copper. Not to mention all the promotion and the set lists. Of course, he believes he was Live so he doesn't see the difference. Fans of Live know better. The whole world knows better aside from some fanatical Ed fans.

On top of that, think of all the carnage he left with his friends and what was really like his extended family. He really left a mess behind and CCP have done their best to make peace and move on. Live fans have too by embracing CS and looking forward to the future. Still doesn't mean it doesn't hurt a bit to see what Ed is still doing. I don't think anyone gets any joy from seeing Ed butcher Live songs like he did in the videos in this thread.

I think solo acoustic is his best option. His new LP should be solo acoustical tunes.
