you are so wrong. those 3 are not only guitar gods, but true rock gods.

That's not the point. Your wrong because wasn't this about the guitarist being bigger or more recognizeable than the singer. That's why it doesn't fit. Slash is my all time favorite and everyone on list is unbelievable but singer in each band more recognizable.

I highly doubt that that is the point.

What I loved about the second coming of Live is that they did not look like a frontman and musicians. They looked like a BAND. Like a collective, full of individually talented musicians, as one organism.

Page is on equal footing with Plant. It's not even a debate. The same can be said for Slash and Axl. In fact in the music industry, Slash has surely surpassed Axl at this point. Axl has become a running joke, while Slash is still delivering with his current band. As for Daltrey and Townshend, again equal footing.

Add Cherrone and Bettencourt, Tyler and Perry, Osbourne and Iomi and quite a load of other "twins" to this list.

@bri, I know, re-read my post and try to understand it.

I don't think the stage presence of Ed is anything to gloat about. It used to be 100x better when you could tell whatever he was doing was driven by the music.

I love the whole "the bald lead singer of Live" as proof that Ed is more recognizable. You do realize that if Shinn shaved his head and fronted Live then no one would know he isn't the very same "the bald lead singer of Live", right?

That is how much weight that label carries.

No because Ed has a distinct voice and very strong stage presence. Chris Shinn has neither.

pelvic thrusts, "la la la", taking his shirt off, and rubbing himself in a sexual way does not equal stage presence. it equals pathetic.

We know fans of Ed love the thrusting and rubbing (50yr olds and fanboys too)

Fans of the BAND LIVE hated and still hate that 'stage presence'

They are more into a guy who's voice gets drowned out by the instruments and forgets the words to classic songs. Ed also interacted with each band member of stage and tried to make a connection to the crowd. Ed also can do a solo show with just him and a guitar for 90 minutes and hold the crowd, not all performers can do that.

Ed forgot lyrics to his own songs and also to "classic songs" he covered.

Shinn interacted with the crowd and the band in the rehearsal show.

Shinn has done acoustic shows as well and held the audience just fine.

Anything else?

You mean the rehearsed jumping with CT during LJ? Yeah that was cool, the first few times. You mean him running around and standing on the cabinets behind CG, and pelvic thrusting? That was never cool. Besides, first he put CG in a cage, then he pelvic thrusted the back of his head. No wonder there is bad blood there. Wait, I don't recall any rehearsed crap with PD, so at least Pat got off easy.
