Also for your earlier argument 3/4's of LIVE isn't greater than 1/4 of LIVE when that 1/4 was responsible for creating all of your material(albeit with band help at times). Also, for all bands, the front man is the most well known person. There is a reason that lead singers are typically the highest paid and are the ones who are sent out on the bulk of the promotional tours.

I love your revisionist history. Live's first 4 albums would never have happened without the significant input from the other 3 as well. I don't care what Ed has said, what it may say on paper or what you think. You can throw Jerry Harrison into the mix for 3 of the 4 too. Hell, he even probably influenced SS by what the guys learned from him. Also, nobody knew who the heck Ed Kowalczyk was other than the most devoted fans. It was about the band Live. Not Ed. Let's not rewrite history and make him out to be Bono or something.

Those guys were able to fend off that dreaded Lead Singer Disease that hit EK so hard. I don't think he'll ever recover. lol.gif lol.gif

The majority of The Distance to Here was written by Ed solo. The only recognizable person in LIVE is the bald lead singer. The rest are indistinguishable to the public.

Those songs were not complete. CCP still had plenty of influence as well as Jerry. The bald guy is hardly what I would call distinguishable.

drop the band permanently and stick to acoustic solo. it does save face.

Absolutely ficking hundred thousand percent true!

QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Jul 5 2012, 7:51 pm) *

They own it, but just because they replace Ed with an average journeyman singer

Am I the only one fucking tired of him calling Chris that?

I do remember most of what was said about Ed and it hardly ever said he has a poor stage presence. Why do we receive this in return?

QUOTE(SJN1279 @ Jul 6 2012, 6:40 am) *

Who the fuck cares? Are we here for the music or for the personalities?

Nick, I am sorry to say that you hardly grew up. You more of grew down really

I like how being recognizable to the public is such an important thing for Nick when it comes to the music. Like you buy the album, bring it home and start playing it and you are really loving it, really getting into it... But then a cold chill comes over you that the guys won't get recognised by the public... Suddenly the guitar sounds out of tune and the drums sound like cardboard boxes.. You take the CD out and snap it. Because after all what is more important than being recognizable to the public!!
